changedA quick but important note: progress from the beta might not carry over to the final game . This is very early development, and we’re treating this as a real beta rather than just a marketing exercise. The goal is to experiment, rebalance, and make changes based directly on how people play. (Our hope is that a future demo will allow progress to carry over.)
addedOne last thing — if you’re enjoying the idea of the game and haven’t already , adding Captain Contraption’s Safari Park to your Steam wishlist really helps us out. It makes a big difference to visibility around launch, and if you’ve already done it, thank you ❤️

In the beta, you’ll have access to two very different sets of species, each designed to create a distinct kind of chaos.

The first is Farm Animals. This side of the game has no carnivores at all — but don’t let that fool you. You’ll be dealing with rapidly growing populations, limited resources, and creatures (looking at you, rabbits) that breed… enthusiastically. It’s all about prevention, planning, and staying one step ahead before things spiral.

The second is Fantasy. Here’s where things get a lot more volatile. This set includes knights, orcs, dragons, and other creatures that don’t always get along. Carnivores, rival factions, and creatures that actively want to fight each other mean population control becomes much more reactive — and sometimes a bit morally questionable.

To help with that, you’ll also be able to unlock a special building featuring a helpful little drone designed to keep populations under control. Exactly how it does that is… something we’ll let you discover for yourself.

⚠️ Important: sign-ups close on Wednesday 26th February. Steam keys will be emailed out when the beta begins and will only work for the duration of the test.
