Today Capper is released to the world in all its glory. As a solo dev, I initially wanted to challenge myself to make a complete game in just a month's time. That month turned into 3, but I think the end result is all the better for it. I'm proud to present my game Capper, a bottle cap flipping roguelite!
Capper offers you two very different modes of play. There's the Story Mode, which is a more casual, incremental type of game, where you slowly unravel a story and learn about yourself along the way.
Then there's the Endless Mode, where you must race against the clock to survive taking ever-increasing amounts of damage! Endless Mode plays like a true roguelite, with over 100 run-changing Trinkets to discover and experiment with and over 300 bottle caps to collect and upgrade. There's a range of challenge missions to complete, ranging from a walk in the park to incredibly deviously difficult.
Pick the Second Attempt Trinket, and your Face Down Caps have a 25% chance to flip themselves back over Face Up! Pick the Paintbrush and Sticker Rally Trinkets, and smear Paint and apply Stickers to Caps in your collection to power them up even further! You can even hatch an Egg Trinket into 3 different Animal species that evolve and grow more powerful over time. There are many Trinket synergies and combinations to experiment with to push you even further into a deep Endless run!
I hope you all enjoy my game. Huge shout out to everyone who played the demo before release! With a median play time of OVER AN HOUR, it seems you guys really enjoyed the demo! I hope the full game brings you even more joy.
