I’m pleased to announce "Call to Strike": a top-down helicopter-based shooter where you take on daring missions to strike, rescue, refuel, and upgrade your arsenal to overcome the odds and complete your objectives!
My name is Chris van Zyl, Lead Developer and Project Leader for “Call to Strike”. The game has been in development for about 2 years, and we’re finally at a stage where we can start sharing our progress with you!
"Call to Strike" is a nostalgic nod to the 90s, a time of great consoles like the Sega Genesis (also known as Mega Drive) and SNES. It's inspired by twin-stick shooters such as the Strike series, Air Strike Patrol, MIA: Missing in Action, and others. Growing up, I spent countless hours immersed in these games, always hoping that the genre would persist. Now, I hope that "Call to Strike" can serve as the continuation I've longed for. Whether you're a 90s kid yearning for a trip down memory lane, or a newcomer eager to explore something from the past, reimagined for the present, I invite you to join me on this journey. I’ll post regular updates on the games development here and look forward to your feedback.
