Declassified, Unleashed: Black Ops Season 03 is Here!
The Story So Far
In their next move against The Guild, Karma sends in Cole “Javelin” Donovan. Dropping from international airspace toward a Guild facility over the Arctic Circle, Javelin expertly neutralizes the enemy threats… until Victoria Atwood enters the fray, flanked by her autonomous Rhinos. Little does she know, Javelin has already completed his objective with the help of Karma, hacking into The Guild’s system using the C-Link to take their lethal technology into his own hands.

[[BO7-SEASON-03-ANNOUNCEMENT-001]]
Bringing Avalon to Call of Duty: Warzone through Black Ops Royale, players were introduced a new way to engage with the Black Ops universe. Now, for a limited time, Endgame is also coming to Call of Duty: Warzone!
For newcomers, Endgame is a co-op PvE experience focused on squad-based runs, boss encounters, and repeatable challenges. Players push through combat spaces together, taking on increasingly difficult encounters across each run. Progression systems like Exotic weapons and Nightmare skills unlock through gameplay and expand your options over time, adding depth as you continue playing.
Players can earn XP, complete challenges, and unlock rewards tied to ongoing seasonal updates.
For a limited time, the full Endgame experience (not including the Co-Op Campaign) is available directly within Call of Duty: Warzone.
Endgame Season 03 Content Overview
As Season 03 adds further challenges and rewards across Avalon, including the introduction of Operation Poison Pill, now’s the time to grow the ranks and push the attack. Players will continue to progress and earn XP as normal while playing Endgame, tied into the same leveling journey across all four modes.
By default, players who do not own Black Ops 7 will begin their Endgame journey with four Operators to choose from: Mason, Anderson, 50/50, and Samuels.
Loadout Updates

Starting in Season 03, Endgame Loadouts will be individually assigned to each Operator, so that each separate Endgame Operator has their own Loadout including Weapons, Field Acquisitions, and Equipment. Operators who exfil with a Scorestreak or Self Revive will also save those items for the next deployment. This change provides more customization options, as players can now find and equip a unique Exotic Weapon for every Operator and craft builds that are unique for each fighter.
For players who have already experienced Endgame, your existing Loadout will automatically be assigned to your active Operator. All other Operators will start with a default Loadout.
Reset Combat Rating: Players may optionally reset an Operator's Combat Rating to 0 if they want to start fresh with a new Operator Build. This will not affect the Operator's Loadout, as Weapons, Equipment and rarity are preserved. Note that resetting the Combat Rating will also discard Exotic and Nightmare skills.
Reset Skill Track: Once you’ve fully progressed an Operator’s Combat Rating by unlocking all Power Upgrades and Skills, you may choose to reset one of your Skill Tracks. Resetting a Skill Track removes all associated Skills and reduces the Operator’s Combat Rating by 16 to reflect the lost power.
The next time you increase your Power, you’ll be offered two new Skill Tracks to choose from, giving you greater flexibility to shape an Operator build that better fits your playstyle.
Updated Loss Rules
As Endgame content becomes more dangerous with Glitches, Guild Strikes, and Nightmare Difficulty zones, the loss rules have been updated to limit how much Combat Rating (CR) players can lose from Skills and Power Upgrades.
If a player or squad is wiped, the total Combat Rating lost from earned Skills and Power Upgrades is capped at 15 CR. This means players can lose no more than 15 CR of progression per wipe.
Nightmare Skills and Exotic Skills are still fully lost, and the player’s Loadout is reset. Because these Skills contribute to total Combat Rating, their removal will also reduce CR accordingly.
Introducing Operation Poison Pill (Launch)
Season 03 ups the ante and introduces Operations into Endgame, kicking things off with Operation Poison Pill. Operations run on a series of strict objectives designed to be cleared across multiple matches. Secure rewards for every objective you complete and systematically power up your Operator for the fight ahead. Clear the final objective to finish the job and unlock direct access to the new Link Forger Glitch Fracture. Operation rewards include a new Weapon Blueprint, Emblem, Double XP Token, Loading Screen, and other rewards, including the new Restore Token consumable item, described below.
You’ll want to do your best to keep your Operator in top shape throughout the Operation, especially if you want to remain on track to earn the final rewards (see below), including an animated Weapon Camo.
Enter the Link Forger Glitch, Earn Rewards

Complete Operation steps to earn valuable rewards, power up, and discover the location of the Link Forger Glitch Fracture, in which you and your squad will battle through relentless waves of enemies in a Nightmare Difficulty arena.

Multiplayer Maps
Beacon (Launch)
Brand-New, 6v6, Medium-Sized
Steam post image
Deploy to the frozen terrain of Beacon, a remote Guild facility blanketed in snow. A destroyed helicopter lies in flaming ruins just outside the map’s border and crates labeled with “Skyveil Array” fill the entrance, offering substantial cover while moving toward the facility.

Inside, hunt down targets within the Housing unit, Monitoring Station, and Storage shed. Watch out for enemies positioned around the central Bridge and take long shots across the distant Tundra. This mid-sized map combines a variety of sightlines, so there’s no wrong approach. Bundle up, head out, and keep warm with aggressive tactics to overwhelm the enemy forces.
Abyss (Launch)
Brand-New, 6v6/2v2, Small-Sized
From the Engine to the Torpedo Bay, battle through the confined quarters of a submarine, trading shots along narrow corridors with just enough room to outmaneuver your opponents. Keep a keen eye out for rope Ascenders placed throughout the sub, giving access to the Forward and Aft Decks up top to push for the flank... but be mindful of players at the top of the Sail who have views of the upper decks.
In the interior time your movements through tight spaces while seeking out vantage points throughout, such as the upper walkway in the Forward and Aft Silos. When on the same level as your opponent, dodge and weave amongst the boat’s various obstacles to outmaneuver your foe using any means possible.
Plaza (Launch)
Remaster, 6v6, Medium-Sized
First introduced in Black Ops 2, Plaza has been beautifully remastered for the first time since 2012. With the addition of Wall Jumping and Black Ops 7 ’s unique arsenal, this is Plaza like you’ve never experienced it before.
Battle across the outer Mall and through the Concourse as fireworks burst in the night sky. In the center, engage in fierce fights over the iconic stairwell, rising to an upper platform on both sides, grenades flying as Operators seek to damage enemies on the other side. Explore the luxurious interior locations of the Colossus Resort, including the popular Luna Nightclub alongside high-end shops, the extravagant Red Bar, and other staples of the rich life at sea.
Gridlock (Launch)
Remaster, 6v6, Medium-Sized
Traffic grinds to a halt in the remastered Gridlock, first introduced in Black Ops 4. An explosive heist has left the freeway in shambles over a Japanese city. Battle among overturned vehicles and through the rubble, the remnants of the attack flown across the various shops and Promenade.
Fight through the Garden and Terrace bookending the bath house, or take to the long sightlines down the Street, a delivery truck on either end providing excellent views all around. For a more covered view, head into the Restaurant, offering killer vantage points from multiple angles.
Mission: Trident (Launch)
Brand-New Skirmish Map, 20v20
Season 03 continues to up the map offering in the 20v20 Skirmish mode with Mission: Trident. The Old Arsenal Avalon point of interest is the latest area of operations, with patrol boats assisting in navigating the waterways and shoreline through harbor warehouses and numerous medieval fortifications.
Seek the helipad on the high ground atop a section of an old cruise liner, with a surprisingly opulent interior. Then watch for rooftop snipers across the long sightlines, ramped bridges, and other thoroughfares.
Onsen (Mid-Season)
Brand-New, 6v6/2v2, Small-Sized
Head out to the Japanese hot springs in Onsen, but don’t get too relaxed. This spa offers a number of places to cool down, though the central steam bath is where the action is likely to heat up, especially as it offers the perfect cover for incoming attacks.
Weave past the oni statue on your way to set up heightened cover positions along the main structure, with outbuildings either side of the steam bath.
Summit (Mid-Season)
Remastered, 6v6, Medium-Sized
Summit makes its triumphant return in Black Ops 7! First seen in the original Black Ops, this classic mid-sized map brings Operators to a research facility perched high on the snowy mountains. Wall Jump through tight interior labs, catwalks, and a central control room surrounded by exterior routes and a dangerous cliffside.
Its balanced three-lane layout supports fast engagements, flanking paths, and vertical sightlines, now explorable through the updated Black Ops 7 movement system.
Hacienda (Mid-Season)
Returning, 6v6, Medium-Sized
The luxurious vineyard estate returns from Black Ops 6, now with additional maneuvering points via Wall Jumps. Battle through the grand central villa, weave between vineyard paths, and push through the garage and courtyard as firefights erupt across the property.
With a classic three-lane layout blending tight interior fights and open exterior sightlines, Hacienda delivers fast, tactical engagements in one of the most stylish battlegrounds in the Black Ops series.
Ascent (Mid-Season)
New Special Map, Freerun Mode
This brand-new special map has been created specifically for the Freerun mode. A bespoke obstacle map with vertigo-inducing jumps and little room for error, you’ll need all your dexterity to survive the lengthy ascension to the top of this map!
Test your movement mastery across ten zones within this map, with only your sure footing to help you. Expect more info on this exciting new mode in the Mid-Season update.
Multiplayer Modes
Demolition (Launch)
Returning Mode
Out with the old, in with the boom. In this explosive returning mode, the attacking team must detonate both bomb sites while the defending team attempts to hold them off, with both sides respawning throughout the match.
Each round begins with a two-and-a-half-minute timer and everyone on the attacking team is equipped with a bomb. Plant a bomb at either the A or B site to pause the timer and start the countdown to destruction, giving the defending team an opportunity to sweep in and defuse it. Extra time is added when one site is destroyed, though the attackers must detonate both to win the round.
If both teams reach a round tie, then it’s on to Overtime, where both sides fight to be the first to detonate a single site. Push hard and don’t hesitate.
Aim High (In-Season)
Returning Mode (Moshpit)
First introduced in Black Ops 6, Aim High returns, the perfect headshot trainer for sharpshooters of all skill levels. Compete in a variety of game modes where headshots instantly eliminate enemies, while shots against any other part of the body deal minimal damage. Outfit your Loadouts for precision and aim for the noggin.
Snipers Only (In-Season)
Returning Mode (Moshpit)
All warmed up from the Aim High playlist? Turn the challenge up a notch with Snipers Only, a pure sniping experience where Equipment, Secondary Weapons, Field Upgrades, and Scorestreaks are all restricted to keep the focus on the rifle in your hands. Take aim, breathe, and make your shots count.
Freerun (Mid-Season)
New Mode
Run and climb your way through Ascent, an original map for the new Freerun mode arriving in the Mid-Season that pits ten racers in a sprint to the finish line. Compete for additional rewards in the Mid-Season Freerun Event.
Heat Wave Havoc (Mid-Season)
New Mode
Bring the burn in the new Heat Wave Havoc LTM, challenging players to raise their Heat Level by supporting the team with non-lethal cooperative actions in a Moshpit of Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint.
There are five Heat Levels in all, with each level granting additional abilities that will transform your Operator into a blazing ball of fury. Generate heat through support actions like revealing enemies, scrambling enemy radars, buffing teammates and impairing enemies, capturing and defending objectives, and other non-lethal actions.
The Heat Levels and their corresponding Operator bonuses are as follows:
· Low Heat: Faster Field Upgrade recharge.
· Medium Heat: Faster movement, sprint-to-fire speed, and mid-air mobility.
· Hot: Faster weapon reloads, ADS speed, and swap speed.
· Extra Hot: Equipment refills after eliminating enemies.
· Extra Extra Hot: Increased damage and score for headshots.
Freeze Tag (Mid-Season)
New Mode
Following the scorching Heat Wave Havoc, take some time to chill in the new Freeze Tag LTM. When dealt lethal damage, Operators will now become frozen instead of being eliminated. Freezing rival players will earn score for your team. Fellow teammates can save their incapacitated allies by reaching and defending their frozen forms, helping to unthaw them in time to rejoin the fight. The first team to reach the score limit wins.
Additional Loadout Content
Area denied. Activate the all-new Ion Core Scorestreak to create a sphere of heat distortion that damages any enemies reckless enough to enter.
New Scorestreak
Scorestreak: Ion Core (In-Season)
Weekly Challenge Reward

New Verdansk Point of Interest: Launch Pad (Launch)
All systems are a go as the new Launch Pad POI arrives in Verdansk as the original big map returns at the start of Season 03! The Launch Pad is a massive complex with multiple structures found near the shoreline just south of Promenade. The Grazna-7 Launch Complex takes over the old Hills POI with a sprawling facility comprised primarily of the Control Tower, Hangar, Gantry, and the Depot and Vats.
Perch atop the large structures here to snipe distant enemies or get lost in the infrastructure, weaving between the area’s many obstacles to set up ambushes and flank attacks. In a facility this large, you can be sure there’s plenty of loot to be had with intense firefights all around. Now let’s take a closer look at the Launch Pad’s various elements:
Control Tower
Though technically the smallest of the three major structures across Launch Pad — including the Control Tower, Hangar, and Gantry — the Control Tower is still a beast, providing views over a wide swath of the map’s southwestern boundary. For a quick lay of the land, latch onto the exterior Ascender to zip
up to the rooftop, the base of the satellite offering the highest vantage point. Near the Ascender, you’ll also find a ladder giving access to a viewing balcony with a Zipline leading to the Hangar.
Inside, step into the lobby and enjoy the displays on your way toward the administrative offices, server room, and control room. Move through the different levels using the staircases and the elevator shaft Ascenders, battling in close quarters inside while checking the exterior views for enemies incoming from a distance.
Hangar
The tallest building in Launch Pad, its height matched only by the nearby Gantry, Hangar brings verticality to a whole new level. Inside, a large winding staircase gives access to multiple platforms, including a raised central platform with views inside and out toward the Gantry. In some modes, a massive rocket stands in the middle, while in others the Hangar is empty inside.
Keep climbing to access the upper exterior walkway, also accessible via the exterior ladder on the building’s south side. From the walkway, you can Zipline to the Control Tower or Hangar or take the Ascender up to the rooftop for unmatched views of the surrounding area.
Gantry
Across from the Hangar and connected via Zipline, Gantry offers another major vantage point up and down its exterior elements. Climb one of its twin staircases up to the mid-point walkway for views closer the ground or ascend to the top to snipe at foes from way up high. Though the Gantry offers little interior room, there are plenty of places for an Operator to hide and make a stand, so keep your eyes on those corners. When you need a quick escape from the Launch Pad, this is an ideal launching point into the surrounding areas of the map.
For those who prefer fighting on the ground floor, look for a line that descends below the central flame trench or fight within it, moving through the blast doors on either side.
Depot and Vats
Watch for the train pulling into the Depot on the south end of Launch Pad between the Gantry and Hangar. Though the station is small compared to its monstrous neighbors, the area contains plenty of little perches and vantage points that can be used to attack enemies moving between the larger structures.
Follow the road or train track to the fuel tanks and vats lining the east end of Launch Pad. Climb on top for a low view over the road and toward the Hangar and Control Tower. It’s also possible to traverse the platform topping the fuel lines here, using it as a walkway to cover the road. Open Guild crates and some single-story office buildings provide further points of contact; fall back to these when spotted to disorient the enemy and ambush them when they come searching for you.
The Gulag Arrives in Avalon (In-Season)
The Core Battle Royale experience is about to get a whole lot bigger as Operators begin dropping into Avalon for the first time in-season! In preparation for the map’s debut into Battle Royale, recent discoveries indicate The Guild has been hard at work developing not one but three Gulags where fallen Operators will get the chance to fight for their redeployment into the map.
Note that Wall Jumping is disabled in the Gulags. We can’t have any prisoners escaping now, can we? You have to earn your way out.
Similar to the three Gulag Verdansk variants, each Gulag is a compact, roughly octagon-shaped combat arena with a central area of high traffic, and interrogation stations around an upper floor where Operators waiting to fight can observe the action. Inside these arenas, expect automatic doors you can use as dynamic cover, reinforced glass windows allowing you to see — but not initially harm — your opponent, and other tactical novelties.
Gulag Variant #1: Server Room 04
Banks of servers surround a main server chamber, with sliding doors along all four inner walls.
Gulag Variant #2: Cryo Lab 05
Banks of cryo coffins and diagonal entrances mark the A and B areas of this cooled chamber.
Gulag Variant #3: Meeting Room 07
Advance into a central meeting room with open doorways and low central seating in a circular bench.
New Modes and Updates (Launch, In-Season)
The Core Battle Royale experience is planned to host a big map rotation between Verdansk and Avalon, giving squads the chance to drop into either map for double the tactical thrills. Expect the following access to both big map Battle Royale modes:
· Battle Royale on Verdansk at the launch of Season 03.
· Battle Royale on Avalon will arrive in-season for Season 03.
In addition, Season 03 introduces the following modes:
Launch Squad LTM (Launch)
Verdansk
Get your bearings on the new Launch Pad POI with the Season 03 Launch Squad LTM. In this action-packed mode, squads drop into Verdansk’s new POI in a race to activate the Launch Sequence. The Launch Sequence activates once enough Launch Codes have been collected from eliminated enemies and other means.
The squad who collects enough Launch Codes to initiate the Launch Sequence must then survive as the Most Wanted until the match ends; eliminate additional enemies and pick up extra Launch Codes to reduce the time needed to survive until the end. Grab your favorite Loadout, stay in the game with respawns, and launch your squad to victory.
To keep the action flowing, there are no Buy Stations, Cash, or Redeploy Drones in the Launch Squad LTM. Progression comes purely from fighting and collecting Launch Codes. Get after it.
Hot Pursuit (Mid-Season)
Avalon, Black Ops Royale
Get ready for a high-speed chase in this LTM coming to Black Ops Royale, inspired by the original Blackout mode! Squads of four drop in and choose their journey as cops or robbers, and players respawn as long as one team member is alive. Whether you're hopping into a police vehicle to track down the robbers or jumping in a getaway car to find valuables, two constants hold true for everyone: Vehicular combat is key to success, and survival is all that matters.
Prop Hunt Royale (Mid-Season)
Rebirth Island, 48 players
The enemy could be anywhere… or anything. Luckily, you’ll have the whole squad at your back with 24v24 Prop Hunt on Rebirth Island.
In this round-based mode, teams alternate between Hunters and Props. Props get 30 seconds to hide while Hunters are locked in their spawn. Once unleashed, the Hunters must attempt to discover and eliminate the enemy team disguised as props. The Props win if at least one teammate survives until the end of the round, while the Hunters win if all Props are eliminated. The first team to win three rounds wins the match!
Returning LTM: Iron Gauntlet [Beta] (In-Season)
Avalon, 150 Players
The Iron Gauntlet arrives in Avalon! Drop into a competitive Battle Royale tournament as a Trio with adjusted rules that favor skill over luck, including scarce resources, rapid circle collapses, increased base health for every Operator, loot rebalancing, one hit kill protection, and other changes keeping the action focused on decision making and gunplay.
We've listened to player feedback, and Iron Gauntlet has undergone some major revisions, we've moved the mode to Avalon, updated it from Duos to Trios, adjusted the economy, iterated on TTK, and added a variety of other adjustments.
Expect rewards to earn by proving your mettle in the Iron Gauntlet, and the format of the ladder mirrors Ranked Play Resurgence, but with Iron Gauntlet-specific balance and scoring considerations.

New Gameplay Features (Launch, Mid-Season)
Season 03 brings major updates to Call of Duty: Warzone, including the introduction of Wall Jumps and the Grappling Hook into Battle Royale, the new Flashpoint Public Event, a new way to power up your Operator with the addition of Spikes, and the Cluster Grenade.
Private Match: New Features and Functionality (Launch)
Whether you’re organizing a tournament or bringing in squads for a clandestine lobby, expect a host of new adjustments and improvements within the Private Match mode:
Code Functionality: Private Match codes are now hidden by default when the Lobby is created and can be toggled to be visible or not.
Match Lobby Disbanding: Lobbies no longer disband after a match completes. If your squad has won, the squad leader receives a “return to lobby” option. If your squad has lost, you can spectate or leave the lobby or party. Players must wait for the rest of their party to finish the match before everyone can be taken back to the Lobby.
Squad Name Changes: Members of a Squad can change the name of the squad they belong to. One squad member has this edit function.
Gamertag Obscuring: The Host now supports the option to obscure player names/gamer tags in the Lobby. When set, a random pool of anonymized player names/gamer tags is used to substitute in for action names in the kill feed, scoreboard, et al. This is a full Lobby setting and cannot be changed by individual players.
Scoreboard Updates: Expect additional features within the end-of-match scoreboard, including a per-squad and per-player breakdown, and sorting by different values (such as XP earned, eliminations, score, etc).
Wall Jump, Grappling Hook (Launch)
Get ready to jump, dive, and grapple your way across Call of Duty: Warzone. Wall-jumping and the Grappling Hook will be available for use in Battle Royale and Resurgence matches at the start of the season, including Verdansk!
Flashpoint Public In-Match Event (Launch)
Ignite the match with an explosive strike from Verdansk’s new Launch Pad in the all-new Flashpoint Public Event. When this event occurs, a random location is designated as the target, initiating a countdown until the chosen location is bombarded by a missile strike, eliminating all players in the area and leaving a damaging cloud in its wake that covers the immediate area until eventually dissipating.
Then, as Season 03 progresses, ensure you’re checking the environment in preparation for hunting down some particularly potent classified weaponry….
New Equipment: Introducing Spikes (Mid-Season)
Become even more powerful with the addition of Spikes, experimental military stimulants that enhance your Operator, coming to a Buy Station near you in Season 03. Choose tactically; should you fall, you’ll need to buy your Spikes back again.
· Armor Salvaging: Immediately gain an equipped Armor Plate after eliminating an enemy.
· Prone Firing: Greatly reduce weapon recoil while crouched or prone.
· Handicraft: Regenerate Equipment over time.
Lethals Arrive in New Game Modes
EMP Grenade (Launch): Disrupt your enemy communications and equipment by lobbing an EMP Grenade at your foes, available across Core Battle Royale and Resurgence modes at Season 03 Launch.
Cluster Grenade (Mid-Season): Currently available as ground loot in Black Ops Royale — will be available across Core Battle Royale and Resurgence modes across Call of Duty: Warzone! Toss one and watch your enemies scatter to avoid the series of explosions that follow.
