A man rides south.

Behind him lie a lost war, a burned home, and a life that can never be reclaimed.

Set in the southern borderlands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the beginning of the 16th century, Bygoner is a compact nonlinear journey through a world shaped by conflict, faith, superstition, and survival.

Inspired by Eastern European history, medieval folklore, and existential works such as The Seventh Seal, the game follows a nameless knight who abandons his former life and travels toward lands unknown.

Along the road he encounters mercenaries, priests, outcasts, wanderers, and desperate people trying to survive on the frontier. Some stories are tragic, some cynical, some absurd, but each becomes another step further from the past.

Throughout the journey, the knight is haunted by the image of Death. Whether it is a supernatural presence or a reflection of grief, guilt, and trauma is left for the player to decide.

Bygoner is not a story about saving the world. It is a story about carrying the weight of what has already been lost.

The road south is already open.
