changedHey Rangers,I've seen a lot of the recent reviews and I know that a fair amount of you guys are experiencing lots of bugs and glitches, poor optimization and a generally unfavourable experience with Chapter 1. Just so that I don't keep you guys out of the loop, I'd like to explain a bit of what's going on with the game currently!
changedHey Rangers,We previously announced that Chapter 2: Lonely Ruins began development, and while that still holds true, it admittedly hasn't been our main focus. We've been prioritising development of our so-called "Overhaul" for Chapter 1. The currently public iteration of Chapter 1 was developed purely by me, Daniella Garner, as a solo developer. A lot of the game was rushed in an effort to actually finish and release it, so a lot of gameplay aspects weren't fully considered when developing it. This is most noticeable in the main gameplay loop for "The Ranger Conduit".
addedHey Rangers,As part of our overhaul for the first chapter, we've been completely reworking the game from the ground up. Lots of new gameplay mechanics that weren't seen in the original version, massive graphical and stylistic improvements, audio design improvements and of course, significant changes to our way of storytelling. I feel that all of this is massively required in order for the game to be the best it can be, and I'm sure all of you feel the same way.

Hey Rangers,

I've seen a lot of the recent reviews and I know that a fair amount of you guys are experiencing lots of bugs and glitches, poor optimization and a generally unfavourable experience with Chapter 1. Just so that I don't keep you guys out of the loop, I'd like to explain a bit of what's going on with the game currently!

As part of our overhaul for the first chapter, we've been completely reworking the game from the ground up.

We're also partnering with a company to release the game on consoles too, so if you've wanted to play the game but don't have a PC, keep an eye out on our socials as we update everyone on the overhaul! We really want this game to be the best it can be, and we're doing everything we can to ensure that it ends up to ours, and your expectation. We're all very passionate about this game, and I know that a lot of you have found some form of passion for the game too, so we're very adamant on fixing the first chapter and making it an experience that all of you can truly enjoy!

That's it for this development update, I may do more of these, may not, we'll see! I just wanted to let you all know what's been going on behind the scenes... I appreciate you guys for sticking with us through this journey, even if you didn't like Chapter 1.

Thank you!

Daniella Garner (Creator and Game Director at Team Bushside)
