BURNTCRUST changes
Thank you to everyone who played the demo, and those who left valuable feedback. I'll be continuing to work on improvements over time, but for now I've made a few quick changes based on player's reported experiences. Also thank you JGL for contributing 5 more tracks to the games radio!
5 new tracks from talented indie artist JGL (3 synth, 1 jazz/funk, 1 ambience).
Fuel now drains slower when fuel is very low. (0.5x drain speed at <10%)
Laser projectile size increased from 7 to 15
Laser projectile speed increased from 10000 to 15000.
Customer text box moved to top left.
Asteroid dust should now be removed properly on death.
Increased spawn rate of more unique events that can spawn.
Decreased spawn rate of repetitive events like asteroids, dust clouds etc.
Increased spawn chance for pickups globally.
Still working on:
improving player experience and tweaking balance between events & chill driving sections.
giving more verticality / 3D-ness to spawn locations, a lot of logic needs to be changed to help this.
perhaps altering how the region spawns work, and allowing regional events to spawn wherever whenever (instead of being tied to a location that many players might not go to). Again thanks to everyone who's playing the demo, it really means a lot!
