Okay the Penultimate update for Burning branch. So the most exciting news is that a Demo should be available for Burning Branch so everyone can give it a try! Also I finished up a small story I meant to include in the last patch, mainly the unfinished story of the Lilies and Lupine. On top of that we have the final balance patch, I detail the changes below.
The biggest thing I wanted to target was what I identified as “Build Accelerators” passives that take an input then give you more of the same input. The two being Consume and Engraving Hits (Through the Bell Engraving)
Skin of the Glutton Old: Consume 3 of your health every time you heal, every 7 times you Consume heal 7 Health New: Consume 3 of your health every time you heal, at the end of combat heal equal to the consumes this combat
Healing at the end of combat, on top of not making you consume after you consumed x times. Removes its mid combat healing potential which was very strong, and makes it dowside more felt.
Bark of the Oak Old
Engraving hits have a 33% chance to to deal an additional 4 damage as an engraving hit (Cannot proc itself)
New
Moves have a 33% chance to deal 5 damage as an engraving hit
Bark of the Oak might be more effective now in early game builds, pricing more often. It will still help the Bell Engraving ring, but in a fashion limited to your move hits.
Smoke of the Salamander Old: When Replacing a burn, Instead Consume it, dealing damage equal to 100% burn value as an engraving hit, Burn no longer deals damage New: Burn no longer deals damage, instead when replacing a burn Consume enemy health equal to 100% of the burn value
When Smoke was an Engraving Hit, if you managed to get your Bell ringing hits to burn, they would increment the bell an additional time. So since the Bell needs 3 hits to ring, it would increment itself twice when it rang and just need 1 more hit to ring again. If you had bark of the oak Bell Rings would have a 33% chance to ring themselves again. Thankfully Consumed health does not interact with the Bell.
Secondly I wanted to increase the efficacy of all buffs that are proc’d in a way that is limited or fixed.
Jaw of the Eel After stunning a target gain a 15% (from 12%) damage buff to All Moves
Branch of the Oak Skill use gives a 15% (from 12%) Basic Attack Damage buff
Roots of the Oak Charge attacks gives a 15% (from 12%) Skill damage buff
Quiver of the Hunter Combo enders give a 10% (from 6%) crit chance buff
Arm of the Salamander Combo Enders give a 15% (From 8%) Status Effect damage buff
Trunk of the Oak Basic Attacks give a 15% (From 8%) charge damage buff
I wanted to increase the damage increase of these two Engraving oriented passives, since you give up a lot of damage done by the Engraving normally.
Inspiration of the Tinkerer ~! Instead of dealing damage. Tinkerer clock now increases damage done to target by 5% (from 3%) per damage it would have dealt
Venom of the Viper ~! Poison lasts 10 seconds and causes enemies to take 3% (from 2%) more damage per stack, Poison no longer deals any damage itself
Greed of The Glutton was useful for its on-consume effect, but not so much its base effect. Now It is both stronger, and gives a rare reason to level a Glutton Engraving.
Greed of the Glutton ~! Old: Replacing a Glutton mark instead consumes it, dealing 5 damage as an engraving hit. gives a 3% crit chance buff on consume New: Replacing a Glutton mark consumes it instead boosting a 4 damage engraving hit at double value. gives a 3% crit chance buff on consume
Lastly the cooldown reduction on Goggles of the Tinkere was far too low for how rare its activation effect is.
Goggles of the Tinkerer ~! Cooldown is reduced by 4 second (from 1) after taking damage
Bug Fixes: A bug was fixed that stopped the contract menu from showing up
