Today we will explain one out of many differences in difficulty scale in our game and showcase our prototype of the Main Menu

Let’s start with the loot. Loot in our game will be spawned using semi-random rules so each playthrough will be a little bit different. Once You may have an abundance of fuel and once You might struggle with resources. Our task is to make it balanced and fair but influencing enough to encourage replayability.

What does it exactly mean? Certain items will have fixed spawn places but loot size will depend on the difficulty scale. Other places will be randomized. On higher difficulties, overall resources will be more scarce and harder to obtain.

Total loot cannot exceed a certain amount. In the screenshot above and below, you can see how it looks like in Unity from the developer side.

The main menu will be dynamic. The background will depend on the main story progress. Choosing a certain option will move the camera around the room.

We would like to remind you that the main menu is not in the final version. It is mostly for testing if settings are working properly:
