What’s up, Burgle Buddies?! We hope you’ve enjoyed Good Boy Early Access so far. If you have, please hop on over and leave us a review. Positive reviews are really helpful for Indies like us, and we appreciate each one.
We’re here with our first update, which comes with some bug fixes, some gameplay changes, and some new content.
New content, you say? That’s right, this update has a whole new location for you to loot. In fact, we’re giving you access to the lair of a rival Burgle Crew. They honestly have TOO MANY pianos. Go take a few.
We’ve also added ten new items you can unlock as masks, and nine new skin tone options. I say “skin tone”, but, honestly, does metallic purple count as a skin tone? You tell me.
On the game play side, we’ve been working on the network performance for the client players. What that means for you is that when you join someone else’s game, you should have a smoother experience carrying items now. Let us know what you think!
We’ve also randomized the way landmines spawn, so you can no longer just memorize their placement and avoid them. I found out about this particular update when I blew myself up during yesterday’s playtest. Good times!
Finally, we’ve adjusted the way monsters spawn in heists, and improved the Enemy AI roam behavior. You should find that they do a better job of roaming the whole level, instead of just getting stuck in one area. Again, we’d love to get your feedback on this.
And, last but certainly not least, here are the bugs we’ve addressed:
Fixed bug with Van not leaving after players pushed the Leave button
Fixed bug with items not being removed from Van properly sometimes when they were dragged out
Fixed bug with not all screen resolutions being available in Video menu
Other minor balance tweaks and bugfixes
Happy Heisting!
