The V0.52 update has been released! I’ve updated the visuals and lighting of every stage in the game. The main goal was to increase contrast and make it easier to distinguish between the player, environment, and dynamic objects. This should result in increased readability for the screen, and overall improved visual quality. The gameplay videos and screenshots on the Store Page have been updated accordingly. Let me know what you think in the comments!
Changelist:
- Revamped visuals and lighting for all stages
- Added new HUD reticle for clearer targeting
Speed line effect color now varies on a per-stage basis & brightness adjustment for visibility - Added texture to black ball objects for better visibility against dark backgrounds (note: model isn’t final) - Space Ketchup no longer spawns from enemies in POTATO ATTACK Survival Stage to improve visual clarity - Overall sound effect and volume adjustments. Fixed issue where consecutive collisions wouldn’t trigger sound effects in some cases. (note: many sound effects are still temporary or have adjustments planned) - Other minor adjustments, visual adjustments, object placement adjustments
