addedNew Footage of the GameTo coincide with this announcement, a brand new trailer was released that showcases new story details, gameplay, and some of the animated cutscenes within the game! Check it out on YouTube:
changedNew Footage of the GameThe trailer features the voice acting talent of Matt Sindt ( https://www.mattsindt.com/ ), Trina Deuhart ( https://bsky.app/profile/trinadeuhart.bsky.social ), Alistair Arsène ( https://bsky.app/profile/alistairarsene.bsky.social ), Skip G, and my lovely girlfriend Megan! Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this game, and I'm so happy with how everything has turned out! The voice talent on display in this trailer is phenomenal, and I feel lucky to be able to utilize it for this story.
addedNew Footage of the GameA bunch of new locations were shown off that will be featured in the investigation sequences throughout the game. To solve the cases presented in the story, you'll be exploring large industrial spaces like the aircraft hangar as well as refined places of comfort like the country club. Each of these levels present unique situations that must be pieced together to learn the full story of what occurred, and they all feature special environmental tricks that come into play during the trial scenes. There are even more locations that I've kept hidden for a while, so be rest assured that there are still plenty of surprises left in the final product!
changedDevelopment ProgressRobProductions is still essentially a one person studio, which means 99% of the work done to bring this game to life has come from me (Matt). Of course, the game wouldn't be possible without my wonderful voice actors or friends who have helped playtest and lend their support and ideas, but at the end of the day I'm responsible for ensuring that the quality of the writing, art, music, and performance of my projects are evolving and trending upwards.
changedDevelopment ProgressThis has put a lot of pressure on me for quite a while, and this additional stress has come at one of the worst times imaginable. In the past year I've had to deal with financial concerns after losing my job, increased expectations as the gaming industry has plummeted ever downwards, the death of a family member, the strain of caring for our dog who was diagnosed with a terminal disease, and mental and physical health issues that have made it all the more difficult to stay on track.
addedClosing ThoughtsThank you to everyone who has shown interest in this next chapter of Burden of Proof! I'm excited to share it with you and I truly believe that it will propel my games into a new standard that surpasses all of the usual expectations of a solo developer. I'm very happy with how this game has turned out, and though there are always concessions and shortcuts I have to make for the sake of time and sanity, I believe that Burden of Truth shows an overall massive leap in improvement over the first game.

Development Progress
RobProductions is still essentially a one person studio, which means 99% of the work done to bring this game to life has come from me (Matt). This has put a lot of pressure on me for quite a while, and this additional stress has come at one of the worst times imaginable.
Despite those challenges, I am determined to see this game this through to the end. When it comes down to it, developing games is still my passion, and creating these experiences is what I want to devote my time towards. The big problem for me currently is not knowing whether I'll be able to sustain the cost of living through this as a career, so if you find yourself resonating with any of my stories, it would mean a lot if you could share them with your friends or (if you have the capability to!) buy some of my soundtracks or bundles here on Steam. Regardless of your level of support, I appreciate you and everyone who has shown interest in Burden of Proof, and I look forward to everyone's reaction when we reach September 18th!
