The Chinese New Year is approaching. As you wrap up a year of exhaustion and prepare for the holidays, have you ever had a fleeting thought?
"I don't want to go back."
Are you tired of the prying questions about your private life? Are you sick of performing "happiness" and "obedience" at family reunions?
"Let's BUG Dumplings"offers a small, personal perspective to deconstruct this traditional collective will.
Just like the forced "Happy Endings" in traditional TV galas, the act of "making dumplings together" carries an unreasonable, creepy undertone. It represents the discipline of the individual by the family unit.
Life is a giant meat grinder. I thought I was the filling, but in reality, everyone in the family—and everyone in the social collective—is the meat. We are ground up, mixed together, and formed into a sticky, indistinguishable mass where "you," "me," and "he" no longer exist.
Faced with this vague, unspeakable collective entity, what choice will you make?

👨💻 About the Developer My day job is in brand advertising, and I participate in Game Jams as a hobby. All in all, I’ve been exploring indie game development for about six months.
⏱️ About the Game Length This is a short, narrative-focused game.
Average playtime: ~10 minutes.
100% Achievements: Achievable in under 30 minutes.
Honestly, Steam might not be the "perfect" platform for such a short experience. I tried expanding the story, but I found myself stuck in a loop of "adding content → realizing it didn't fit → deleting it." Forcing extra length would only wear down the unique atmosphere of this short story. So, please treat this as a small experiment on the Steam platform.
