Buckshot Roulette changes
GREETINGS, HIGH ROLLERS
Time flies when you keep waking up in the same restroom over and over again.
It’s already been two years since the first shot rang out inside the nightclub. Back then it was a nasty little experiment. A grimy game for weird people with steady hands and questionable decision-making skills.
Steam post image How it all started.
Now?
There are more than 9 million High Rollers in the world. Also, somehow, 100,000+ reviews on Steam.
That is a completely unreasonable amount of people to gather in one place unless you are founding a nation. So let’s just call it what it is:
BUCKSHOT NATION.
And to every single one of you who stepped into the club, pulled the trigger, lost everything, came back for another round, made fan art, made videos, dragged your friends into multiplayer, wrote reviews, screamed at your screen and generally kept this thing alive far beyond anything we could have imagined… Thank you.
Looking back on these two years feels a bit unreal. From the early days, to Multiplayer, to crossing milestone after milestone, to seeing Buckshot Roulette show up in places we never thought it would. We even brought Buckshot Roulette IRL to events like PAX and Tokyo Game Show, complete with a real table for brave souls to gather around. Which, in hindsight, is maybe the most normal possible outcome for this game.
And outside the club, the creativity has been just as absurdly good. We’ve seen an avalanche of incredible fan works, videos, edits, retellings and tributes from creators of all kinds. Every time one of you decides to crawl deeper into Buckshot’s rusty little world and build something of your own there, y ou make one Mike Klubnika smile somewhere.
Now then. Enough nostalgia before someone starts crying in the restroom.
CONSOLE NEWS
Let’s talk about the next big round for Buckshot Roulette: consoles.
As you know, Buckshot Roulette is coming to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and will also be available on Game Pas s.
Porting Buckshot Roulette turned out to be a much bigger challenge than we first anticipated. The good news is that the hard part is behind us now and we’re on the final stretch. We’re currently deep in the last certification step, expect more news very soon.
FILM INTERMISSION
Alright, let’s take a little movie break.
We’ve got one more cool live-action retelling of Buckshot Roulette to share with you, this one directed by Girich and written by Lekhey. It’s not just about the Dealer and his blood sport, but also digs a little deeper into the decrepit world surrounding the game.
Give it a watch right here:
We continue to be insanely flattered by how far people are willing to go for Klubnikaverse. Multiple live-action Buckshot Roulettes were not necessarily on our bingo card when this all started, but we’re more than okay with this card being ruined.
MERCH, BECAUSE GREED IS ETERNAL
And for dessert: new merch. Saw the other side after losing to the Dealer, but still queuing up for another round? We made the drip for that.
Night Channels Store
We’ve got a new shirt, hoodie and a tank top in a collaboration with Night Channels for those of you who understand that losing in roulette is just another step on the road to winning. Mathematically proven. Probably. Do not ask to see the math.
TRIBUTE TO CREATIVITY
Now that’s an ultimate despair.
Typical Friday night activity for Secret Society holoX?
Nice glasses.
It seems we’ve reached a deadlock.
“You know the drill.”
That is all for now, High Rollers. Thanks again for making these last two years so unforgettable.
Until next time…
Good Luck & Have Fun. Mike Klubnika & CR Channel
