Hi everyone,

After a few weeks of internal testing, we are happy to announce that the PTE build is now available to everyone.

How to access the PTE

  1. Open BA Properties in Steam;

  2. Go to the “Game Versions” tab;

  3. Select the “ openbeta ” branch and install it.

In addition, if you want to keep your decks, be sure to back them up. You can open the decks folder via the button in the bottom-left corner of the deck selection menu.

How to save settings for both versions

This allows you to switch between branches without having to redo your keybinds and other settings:

  1. Open the Registry Editor — Win + R, then type “regedit”.

  2. In the top address bar, enter: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\SteelBalalaikaStudio\\BrokenArrow

  3. Right-click the BrokenArrow folder and select Export.

  4. Save the file to a convenient location. Repeat this process for the second branch.

After switching from PTE to Production, or vice versa:

  1. Open the Registry Editor again.

  2. In the top-left corner, select File › Import.

  3. Import the .reg file for the selected version.

If you launched a branch with the wrong .reg file, don’t worry. Just close BA, import the correct one, and launch the game again. If you make any changes to settings, you will need to overwrite the backup file.

Your feedback will help us evaluate the current build before releasing changes to Production. Please note that some mechanics are still WIP and may require further UI improvements.

Things worth paying attention to in the PTE

Tank gun lethality. Tanks have become truly powerful units — their shell hits leave no chance for anyone, especially on side and rear armor.

Anti−overkill. The logic behind AA systems and their interaction has been significantly improved, allowing for the creation of a truly no−fly zone.

Artillery rework. The SPG family now features not just an evolution, but a clear split into subclasses, different loadouts, and battlefield roles.

Air−tab rework. Not only precision−guided weapons, but also unguided options now have their place in combat — including on CAS jets.

Helicopter improvements. Buffed responsiveness and more balanced pricing help better showcase their outstanding manoeuvrability and effectiveness.

New abilities. “Sneak” for snipers, “Ammo resupply” via infantry from their own transport vehicles, and “Auto−fire” for small−caliber mortars.

In addition, all battles will take place in the new “Conquest” game mode, featuring dynamic income and individual unit resurrection timers. Combined with the new map variations and other additions, this will force a rethink of familiar playstyles.
