What changed
- Gameplay
Hi friends,
we took some time off to get some much needed distance from the game after spending countless hours on its development. It felt like clearing the head when taking a stroll through the park. On our return we made some adjustments, added some things to the game which seem healthy. Here is what has changed:
Visuals
We made the game more vibrant. This is most notable in combat scenes. Projectiles have a stronger glow to them and they feel more kinetic.
Grand Campaign
You'll find a couple of new settings to adjust play: Teams, Starting Positions and Player Count. This is by no means the end what we have in mind for you to make this mode yours, but it is a start.
Colony Campaign
We've polished the looks in some parts and hopefully fixed a bug which prevented players from constructing buildings. There should be more clarity in how it works and you should no longer able to go back on your previous decisions. Which is bad, but that's life.
Colony Builder
We've removed the initial placement and teardown of buildings which increased load time and probably added confusion. Instead districts get initial traits without all the fuss. There is now some advice in how to approach the game mode to lend a helping hand.
The next update scheduled some time next month will contain more options and settings to customize the game. While we're at it, we might add more polish to existing game modes, but customization is our biggest focus for now.
