Ransom, the Virus favors Speed & Strength, using his knowledge of cybersecurity to teleport across the Map and surprise his opponents. Armed with his bespoke Chakram & Bow, Ransom’s infiltration also brings with him three new Skins, and an Emote!

Patch 9.09 also introduces Gadget Mayhem – an update to Snowbrawl that allows for even more customization, Damage numbers, Balance, celebrations for Shovel Knight’s 10th Anniversary, Heatwave 2025, and a new Ranked Season!

Ransom infiltrates the servers with 3 new Skins:

Available now in Custom Lobbies and Offline games, Snowbrawl is now Gadget Mayhem! Choose between a single Gadget type or random assortment of different Gadget types (including all Gadgets!) to spawn in your Legend’s hand automatically.

We’ll be featuring new Gadget Mayhem inspired modes for Brawl of the Week all throughout this patch.

Have you ever wanted to know exactly how much Damage you've inflicted on your opponent's current stock? Toggle "Damage Numbers" to "ON" in the Preferences Menu to see exactly how much damage each player has taken, next to their Legend icon in the top right of the screen. It's been 288 days since we revealed work began on Damage Numbers- in that time, we've perfected it. Enjoy 🤠

It's Random Gadgets in this 3 minute 4 player Free-for-All! Score 1 point for hitting someone with a Gadget, 3 points for getting a KO, and lose 1 point for being KO'd. Most points at the end wins!

We're celebrating Brawlhalla's AND Shovel Knight's 10th Anniversaries!

Check out brand new animations in the Plains of Passage Map right now. Then, starting July 4th, you’ll have one week to earn the new “Shovel Knight” Avatar completely free by securing 30 KO’s using Weapons used by Shovel Knight Crossover characters.
