Back to School 2024 continues! Last week, the Cheer Captain Brynn, Victor Sidekick, and new Emojis joined the ever-growing list of essential school supplies available in Mallhalla. All Back to School items are still available in Mallhalla including 15 Skins, a Seasonal Emote, and Avatars.
Yesterday we hosted a Developmental Update livestream where we showcased a ton of new features and additions coming to the world of Brawlhalla in the very near future! The preview included a first look at Skirmishes, our in-game UI refresh, and an optional damage numbers display.
This weekend, tune in to the Trial of Freya to earn exclusive viewership rewards! Catch every second of the 1v1 action starting Friday, September 13th at 9am Eastern on Twitch or YouTube.!
To catch the latest Brawlhalla news and content, be sure to follow us on Twitch, TikTok, Discord, YouTube, Reddit, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook!
Class is in session and we are in full attendance! As it has become the case for our Seasonal Events, we’ve got a stacked returning roster of Legends Skins from years past. From Furst Day Asuri to Rocker Volkov to the brand new Cheer Captain Brynn, everyone is Back to School in style!
Brynn won’t be the only one cheering for the squad in Home Team Colors, because Victor our fiercely cuddly mascot has also come Back to School! For our Emoji connoisseurs, you’ll notice three new Emoji’s chock full of school spirit. Just like everyone has a favorite subject– everyone will have a favorite Back to School Event Item, use them with pride! From the graduated class of forever students, we hope you enjoy this long awaited Event!

Game Performance
We’re testing out a fix for reported graphical stutters on Steam using the “tech-test” branch.
To help us test this update:
Right click on Brawlhalla in your Steam library, select “Properties”, navigate to “Betas”, and select “tech-test – Testing new engine tech”. Then, navigate to “General” of Brawlhalla Properties, and in the launch options text field enter “-framefix -setfps 240”. (Change 240 to whatever the maximum hz your monitor is capable of, generally 144, 240, or 360.)
Skirmishes
Skirmishes will be a type of in-game event that splits players into several personal preference themed teams called “Factions” to compete against each other for points called “Influence.” Players earn Influence for their Faction when playing Brawlhalla, and players get bonus Influence for their Factions by playing Ranked against the opposing Factions! The Faction with the most Influence when the Skirmish ends is the winner.
Skirmishes will not be a new Game Mode. It’s a whole new thing. When you log in, you will choose a Faction and get Items based on that faction, like a Title and an Avatar. The winning Faction will get special versions of those Items. Skirmishes are limited time Events that will last around 1-2 weeks, and each Skirmish is a unique theme with unique rewards. We are looking to launch the first Skirmish in October and we’ll have more information on it as we get closer to the date.
