changedyoo chat, following the massive updated i dropped recently, i’ve been lowkey cooking to make sure Brainrotting feels as satisfying and addicting as possible. v0.9.1 is officially live on both Steam and Itch.io right now.
changedhere is a breakdown of the tweaks, fixes, and optimizations included in this build:
changedEconomy & Balancing Updates AI Broski Tuning: Adjusted the economy scaling, specifically changing how the AI Broski income scales over time. Upgrade Price Adjustments: Changed the base price for the Popups That Hit Different and Rigged Skip Button upgrades. Quest Buffs: Permanent quests now grant permanent boosts, and the rewards for daily and weekly quests have been buffed. Pacing Tweaks: The "Brainrot 5" quest objective has been scaled down, and quests that require completing other daily/weekly tasks are now much easier.
fixedQuest & Logic Fixes Find the Difference: Fixed a bug on the Find the Difference quest related to pressing the button. Automation Progression: Fixed a tracking bug where the Skibidi Toaster and Chad Detector quests wouldn't progress if the AI Broski completed the task. UI Refresh: Fixed a graphical bug where the quest completion notification icon would sometimes "pop" even when there were no notifications.
fixedUI, Window Management & Filters Smart Filter Update: Upgraded the "Hide Maxed Upgrades" filter—it can now toggle to show only affordable upgrades. Window Snapping Fix: Fixed an edge-case bug where a window would become permanently stuck after snapping, maximizing using the button, and then hitting the maximize button a second time. Shader Correction: Fixed a bug causing a certain secret shader to suddenly stop rendering 👀. New Deals: Added new Limited Time Offer messages.
fixedAudio Improvements Audio Layer Priority: Focused screens now take sound priority over background ones. Audio Assets: Fixed an issue causing certain game audios to drop out or fail to trigger. Sound Mixer Tweak: Minigame completion and failure sound effects are now categorized under "Menu Sound Effects" in the audio channels.
