Surprise!

As you may know, yesterday we released our new game, Hive Blight, in early access, and we wanted to celebrate this achievement with you all! MITCHEL!

Mitchel was once a seasoned miner, known for his expertise in excavating the rare mushrooms that grew only beneath the lands surrounding Greenhill. These peculiar fungi were highly sought after because, when carefully brewed into potions, they could greatly enhance magical abilities. The problem was simple: they were scarce, and crafting even a single potion required an enormous quantity.

When rumors of these mushrooms reached the Undertaker, the necromancer approached Mitchel. He claimed he wanted to use their power for the greater good. Believing he was helping protect the valley, Mitchel agreed to guide him through the mines and reveal the secrets of harvesting the fungi.

But deep underground, Mitchel realized the truth. The Undertaker had no intention of sharing this power. He wanted the mushrooms for himself alone. Mitchel stood in his way, and their violent altercation caused the mine to collapse. The Undertaker escaped. Mitchel was buried alive.

Left for dead beneath tons of rubble, Mitchel survived by consuming the very mushrooms he once harvested. When he finally clawed his way to another exit after days of struggle, he was no longer the same. The excessive consumption of the magical fungi had changed him. The mushrooms now answered his will, bending and growing at his command.

Seeing what the Undertaker had done to Greenhill during his absence, he swore to take revenge. The Undertaker was going down, or he would die trying.

As usual, he comes with a new starting weapon:

  • The Fungal Blaster

Spawn mushroom turrets while standing still. All mushrooms together match your attack speed. Your attack speed is reduced by 40%. Max 10 mushrooms.

Mitchel also unlocks another weapon when managing to kill the Undertaker:

  • Spore Mine Spawn mushroom mines while standing still on a 2 sec cooldown. They explode once an enemy walks on them. Max 500 mines at a time.

It can get a bit crazy...

I hope you enjoy the new additions to the game!

Now, let's talk about something else. As mentioned at the beginning of this announcement...

We just released our new game Hive Blight in Early Access!

Hive Blight Get ready to fight off the fungal invasion with your trusty team of insects!

It's been a long road, but we're really happy with the result. Thanks again for the continued support over the last few years! If you want to support us even more, here are a few things you can do:

  • Wishlist the game

  • Talk about it to your friends and fellow entomologist acquaintances, they might be interested!

  • If you like what you see (no pressure), you could buy the game

  • And if you reeeeeaaally like what you see (again, no pressure), leave us a good review!

Anyway, enough talking about Hive Blight. It's time for you to challenge the plains of Greenhill and the Undertaker with Mitchel!

Have a great time in the wild!

Enjoy!
