Born Again changes
New ways to play are on the way! Threads will define your character's ruleset, including how death affects you and the types of drops you can receive. We’re starting with 3 Threads, but look forward to introducing Event Threads soon—offering limited-time game modes for unique experiences!
Thread of Discovery - Beginner or practice
Use and receive up to **Rare** items (cannot use Epic, Ancestral, Mythic, or Exalted)
Gain up to 1,000 Character Honor
Keep items and blessings on death (a dedicated Thread end NPC has been added in order to cash in your character)
No leaderboard
Thread of Fate - Current
Use and receive all item rarities
Lose and cash in all character progress on death

Thread of Doom - PPE / Ironman
Use and receive all item rarities
No trading or receiving items from players
Deposit only banking

Unique leaderboard
All current characters begin on the Thread of Fate. Additionally, any character created on a different Thread can switch to the Thread of Fate at any time by visiting an in-game NPC located in the Spirit Realm Temple.
We’ve made a thematic change: Levels are now called Spirits, and experience is renamed to Essence. This new naming scheme reinforces the idea that you’ll be spending your collected Spirits instead of traditional Levels!
A new guaranteed drop has been added to all bosses: Spirit Orbs! When used, these orbs instantly grant Essence, allowing you to quickly return to the fight after spending your Spirits!
New ways to spend Spirits (Levels) are being introduced, starting with:
Geridge: Upgrade equipment +1 tier (up to blacksteel)
Yaga: +1 blessing slot
Bounty Posts have been removed, and their rewards have been integrated directly into the bosses. When you defeat a Realm Boss, the item rewards will now take your current inventory into account, aiming to provide an upgrade at the relevant level. The Quest system will return for Holiday events and NPC quests!
Bosses now require 3 nearby camps to be cleared before they can spawn. Additionally, the respawn timer still applies, but each camp kill shortens the remaining respawn time. To spawn a boss, you’ll need to meet both conditions: the respawn timer must have elapsed, and 3 camps must be defeated.
In each Realm, you’ll now find randomly positioned encounters in T1 and T2 areas! These challenging encounters, tailored to the biome, offer the best loot available. You can also earn new hats and unique drops from these bosses!
Select status effects have been divided into tiered buffs, with each offering 3 tiers of increasing strength:
Speedy: +20/30/40 speed
Empowered: +10/20/30% damage
Fury: +10/20/30% rate of fire
Armored: +10/20/30 defense
Healing: +5/15/25 health per second
Unique and high-tier items now grant Honor bonuses, giving you a percentage bonus upon character completion, whether through death or by visiting the Thread End NPC:
Limited: +2%
Rare: +2%
Epic: +3%
Ancestral: +3%
Mythic: +5%
Exalted: +7%
20k Honor Items: +7%
Wardrobe price change: 350 for uncommon, 1,000 for limited
Reduced all class hp & vigor
Reduced T3 & Overlord damage
