Prepare for Trouble, Make it Double
A new endgame encounter comes to Borderlands 4 on May 28 as a free update for all players, and this time it's a dual boss fight. In the short teaser above, you can get a glimpse of the fearsome Subjugator and Thol the Invincible, two of the Timekeeper's lackeys who you can endeavor to defeat in a repeatable encounter we've previously called Raid Boss 2.
Subjugator and Thol the Invincible are coming as part of the Version 1.7 update on May 28. As previously outlined in our most recent Upcoming Content Roadmap, this new endgame encounter will introduce powerful new loot to chase, including:
1 new Pearlescent weapon
4 new Legendary items
5 new Class Mods (one per Vault Hunter)
1 new Firmware
Much like Borderlands 4's first raid boss, Bloomreaper the Invincible, the battle against Subjugator and Thol the Invincible will be a formidable endgame challenge that will test your mettle in new ways. In order to take them on, you'll need to have beaten the main campaign; make sure to finish that up if you haven’t already so you're ready to throw down on May 28.
In addition, for all you dedicated Vault Hunters who have been pushing the highest Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (UVHM) levels, Version 1.7 will fittingly add UVHM Level 7 to further test your skills and builds, compounding the endgame difficulty even further.
