Borderlands 4 just hit its big Version 1.5 milestone with the March 26 launch of Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned *, featuring the all-new Vault Hunter C4SH the Rogue and a new map zone, The Whispering Glacier. But we've still got lots more content coming your way, Vault Hunter! Here's a high-level look at what's coming in the next few months:
Version 1.6 on April 30: This will feature bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, including increases to the spawn rates for World Bosses and World Events
- Version 1.7Arriving in late May, this will introduce a free Raid Boss 2 encounter, new Pearlescent and Legendary loot, and UVHM Level 7
Version 1.8: Landing in late June, this will deliver a free Takedown and the paid Bounty Pack 3** DLC:
The Takedown will be the toughest endgame content yet, with powerful new loot and challenge-based cosmetics as a reward for your efforts
Bounty Pack 3 includes a new mission, new bosses and minibosses, new Pearlescent and Legendary loot, and a new Vault Card with 24 cosmetic items and 4 pieces of rerollable gear
Version 1.6 coming April 30
Version 1.6 will include bug fixes, more quality-of-life improvements, and adjustments for reported issues. We'll also be continuing to keep a close eye on C4SH the Rogue to ensure his power level is on par with the other Vault Hunters.
One quality-of-life improvement we're especially excited to introduce is an increase to World Event and World Boss spawns, which will give you more opportunities for exciting battles as you traverse Kairos or farm your most-wanted dedicated drops. We'll share a full list of Version 1.6 changes when it goes live on April 30.
Version 1.7 adds free Raid Boss 2 in late May
Borderlands 4's first raid boss, Bloomreaper the Invincible, was added as a free endgame update for all players back in December. In late May, we're bringing you another new, free Raid Boss encounter that will deliver an all-new challenge!
Should you be able to conquer this new encounter, which we’re referring to as Raid Boss 2 for now, you'll have a chance at scoring new loot, including:
1 new Pearlescent weapon
4 new Legendary items
5 new Class Mods (one per Vault Hunter)
We'll share more details later this month with a sneak peek of what to expect from Raid Boss 2, as well as a release date.
For those hardcore Vault Hunters who are pushing the highest Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (UVHM) levels, Version 1.7 will fittingly add UVHM Level 7 to further test your skills and builds, compounding the endgame difficulty even further.
Version 1.8 adds free Takedown and paid Bounty Pack 3** in late June
By the end of June, Version 1.8 will introduce the free Takedown and the paid Bounty Pack 3 DLC on the very same day, ensuring that all Vault Hunters have something new to take on!
The Takedown will be Borderlands 4's most extreme endgame challenge. You'll need quick reflexes, sharp wits, and a stacked loadout if you want any hope of overcoming the Takedown's deadly mobs, all leading up to a midway miniboss and a formidable final boss.
If you somehow manage to make it through the Takedown alive, there's new gear up for grabs:
1 new Pearlescent weapon
9 new Legendary items
The Takedown will also include new challenges you can strive to complete for brag-worthy cosmetic rewards. Here are the prestigious cosmetics items you can show off to your fellow Vault Hunters
