changedBoard Game Engine releases on January 21!As per our planned monetization, all users will be able to download Workshop items and play with them for free. The editor itself is in a $9.99 DLC package. This was the easiest way to ensure a universal game Workshop while also keeping our free-to-play, pay-to-edit model.
addedWorkshop SupportAs we enter our initial launch, we want to encourage everyone to share their components, in addition to their games, on the Workshop. As more items are added, the Workshop will be able to not only be a place to find games to play but also function as a massive free library of game components for developers to use when prototyping. We plan on releasing many content packs of our own on the Workshop over time, but nothing beats community support!

Board Game Engine releases on January 21!

As per our planned monetization, all users will be able to download Workshop items and play with them for free. The editor itself is in a $9.99 DLC package. This was the easiest way to ensure a universal game Workshop while also keeping our free-to-play, pay-to-edit model.

Workshop Support

As we enter our initial launch, we want to encourage everyone to share their components, in addition to their games, on the Workshop. As more items are added, the Workshop will be able to not only be a place to find games to play but also function as a massive free library of game components for developers to use when prototyping. We plan on releasing many content packs of our own on the Workshop over time, but nothing beats community support!

Grid Support

By popular demand, we are pushing to have support for grids in the initial release! You will be able to enable grids in your game settings, set the grid to square or hex, and scale it as needed.

Multiplayer

Unfortunately, we have made the hard decision to delay multiplayer at launch. We feel multiplayer is incredibly important, so it will be our highest priority until implemented in the near future.

Thank you everyone for your support!
