Blue Sky Aces changes
The 0.86.33 demo update adds a new fighter sweep mission based on a brand new map, with the ability to select which aircraft you want to fly against. This map has improved scenery, and has been optimized to allow for more units of all types.
Aircraft Improvements
The aircraft and their flight models have had a number of improvements such as:
Better take off and landing characteristics, which are supported by more appropriately sized airfields.
Minor improvements to the aircraft engine and wheel animations.
The aircraft performance characteristics have been updated to be more realistic.
The stall and gliding physics has been improved.
Updated Soldier Models
The soldier models have been completely redesigned to better match the games aesthetic, and there are now multiple variations for each side including infantry, officers, pilots, and mechanics.
Bug Fixes
Fixed various Spanish translations.
Fixed an issue where trains would attempt to derail themselves at certain intersections and stations.
Fixed an issue where bullets would sometimes pass through soldiers without hitting them.
Third person camera fixes when looking straight up or down, where the camera would flip around the vertical axis.
The AI aircraft's ability to avoid collisions with the ground and balloons has been greatly improved.
Fixed an issue where the player aircraft and aiming cross-hair would stutter every 2000 meters.
Balloons no longer explode when you collide with them, instead they should burn down to the ground before exploding. The soldiers in observation balloons can now be shot.
Stopped the aiming cross-hair from jumping around when the aim assistant is off, and the cross-hair is moving over a target aircraft.
