We’ve resurrected the February demo for a limited time, so you can get a taste of the first part of Becky Brewster’s vampire-slaying high school saga before the game’s official release in just over a week on June 18.

Play the Demo

The principal of Carpentersville High would like to remind students that much like some of your biology textbooks, this demo is a bit older now, so what you encounter might not reflect the content or quality of the final game. The team at Exit 73 has been heads-down making improvements (including updates based on feedback from this very demo), including:

  • Smoothing Becky’s movements to address screen tearing issues.

  • Combat and visual tweaks, such as fixes for ground attackers, enemy waypoints, and Becky’s roll animation after performing combos.

  • Various performance and loading improvements, including shorter scene transitions.

  • New music and sound effects (including SFX for Becky) in several places.

  • Faster dialog speed, along with other dialog updates and corrections.

  • Miscellaneous UI improvements, bug fixes, and crash fixes.

  • And more!

In addition, Steam achievements will be available in the full version of #BLUD, and the game will be available to play in eight languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), and Korean. Also, please keep in mind that your progress in the demo will not carry over into the final game.

We can’t wait for players to have a chance to experience Becky’s full adventure on June 18. In the meantime, enjoy the demo—and if you like what you slay, we hope you’ll considering add #BLUD to your wishlist!
