Repeated intro
Hello, there! Since the demo's initial release months back, the game's balance and overall quality has improved quite substantially and, as a result, I felt that the demo no longer served as a proper preview of the full game. So I updated it. It's still relatively the same, but the game's progression and balance has been reworked, and there's been a ton of quality of life improvements (not to mention bug fixes). Bloomed Ghoul changes
Health and Damage across the whole game has been rebalanced and on average is now higher
Active abilities have all received varying degrees of buffs to feel more impactful
The number of rooms before a Boss has been increased from 4/5 > 6
The Spawn and Tutorial rooms have been redone
Challenge rooms have been renamed and slightly tweaked
Quantity of Holes in rooms have been changed from 2-3 > 1-3
Normal Rooms now have 1 less free Corpse and 1 more Hole spawn
Gemstones gained from defeating Bosses increased from 1 > 2
Regrowth Active has been reworked to now use charges instead of Bones
Nearly every enemy has had their Move Speed slightly reduced
Imp's Fire Bolt speed has been slightly reduced
BOSS BALANCE CHANGES
Bosses are now tougher to kill and scale higher
Squirming Mass' Virulent Explosion attack has been reworked to be deadlier; projectile count doubled (8 > 16), projectile speed decreased, parrying now destroys instead of returning it, and boss now has a "tell" when it's about to use this attack
Spectator's Eye Goop attack now grows in size over time
Tomb Tapper's Graves now leave a Minor Corpse after being destroyed
QUALITY OF LIFE
Saving/Loading has been implemented with Steam Cloud Save support
The UI for your Current Upgrades and Upgrade Preview has been updated
Upgrade descriptions are now much more detailed
There is now a UI element showing you how many rooms are left before the Boss, seen in the top right corner of the screen
Conditions now fade out when they're about to expire
BUG FIXES
Fixed Tome of Vitality not properly increasing HP
Fixed Feeding Frenzy's buff not working in many cases
Fixed Carrier enemy sometimes not animating correctly
Bosses should no longer be able to use certain attacks while dying
Fixed the '??? Key' from not appearing in most cases
Fixed an oversight where getting an upgrade from a Code could be lost when transitioning rooms
Fixed gamepad joysticks navigating menus too quickly
Fixed most enemies not scaling correctly
Fixed several enemy AI-related bugs
Fixed several Dashing-related bugs
Fixed several Upgrade-related bugs
OTHER NOTABLE CHANGES
The number of Bosses killed needed for the "Stuck Descending" ending has been reduced from 6 > 3
Due to gaining more gemstones, the campsite's donation thresholds have increased from 2 & 5 > 3 & 8
Several sprites and tiles have been added or updated
Portuguese localization has been extensively expanded (though some translation errors may still likely exist)
