addedFlaming skulls rains down, bathed in green hellfire. Putrid lava rises to consume a web-covered city. And somewhere, a pair of creepy twins are tick or treating. We’re excited to launch our Halloween update in time for your weekend parties!! The mean, green, halloween theme update introduces 10 new Halloween characters, gives Blockpocalypse a wicked look, and of course there’s a giant pumpkin that crashes into the earth. Blockpocalypse will be exclusively halloween themed for the next week!! This update, while being for Halloween, is also serving as a technical test for our update pipeline. We’ve used the opportunity to build some tools to help us get the themes together quickly, add characters and emotes, and lay the groundwork for future apocalypse updates. We’re also testing the SteamOS + Linus builds, so if you have a Steam machine or Linux, we’d love to hear your feedback. It will be a little buggy as we track down the major differences in the platform and try to fix them, but for the most part it’s stable and working fine.
