Aside from a few occasional pauses due to personal health reasons, I’ve been working hard to get this game to completion. Here’s what I’ve been working on over the past few months:

Development Progress

It’s been radio silence for a few months regarding any news about the game, but I’m here to assure you that development is still going strong! Aside from a few occasional pauses due to personal health reasons, I’ve been working hard to get this game to completion. Here’s what I’ve been working on over the past few months:

  • Controller mapping: This was relatively simple considering the game has minimal controls, though I still need to make the UI controller-friendly.

  • Chapter 2 level design: Things really start to escalate here; The atmosphere becomes much more unsettling and mysterious.

  • Chapter 2 storyline: More eventful story beats unfold, uncovering the grim reality of what happened to the family in the house Emma is trapped in.

  • Chapter 3 level design: Without spoiling too much, let’s just say this chapter will tie up many loose threads and take place in an entirely different environment.

  • Minor quality-of-life changesImproved FOV, subtle highlights on objects Emma reacts to, and minor lighting tweaks.

On top of this, I’ve been tinkering with FL Studio and learning to make simple music tracks! It’s mostly experimental, but there’s a good chance I’ll compose something ambient for the game.

Release Date

To be honest, it’s been difficult to pin down an estimated release date. Initially, I was confident the game would be done by the end of August, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Every internal deadline I’ve set for myself has ended up taking longer than expected, so I don’t want to give a date only to postpone it again.

That being said, I’m working on a trailer that I plan to upload once the game’s development is 99% complete. This will serve as the release announcement trailer, and by that point, I’ll be confident there won’t be any further delays.
