Frequently Asked Questions
⏳ How long is the Demo?
The playtest will run right up until Early Access.
Expect around 3–5 hours of gameplay, depending on your pace and how deep into the underground you choose to explore.
👅 What languages are supported in the Demo?
Right now, Blind Descent is available in English, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Turkish. Localization is still in progress, so you may spot some errors or rough edges — don’t worry, they’ll be polished before release!
We’re also open to adding more languages at full launch based on community demand.
📹 Can I stream or create content about the Demo?
Absolutely! We love seeing your adventures underground. Tag us with #BlindDescent or share your screenshots and videos in our Discord — we’re excited to feature your best moments with the community!
🐞 I found a bug! How can I report it?
Since this is a demo build, you may run into bugs, glitches, or other technical hiccups — that’s completely normal at this stage!
We’d love for you to dive deep, push the limits, and try everything the game has to offer so far. Your feedback is vital to making the underground experience better.
⚠️ If you encounter an issue, please report it on Discord or pressing ESC or Alt+B when in game. Be sure to include:
A short description of the problem
Your system specs
Steps to reproduce it (if you can)
Thanks for helping us make Blind Descent better!
💻 What are system requirements for Blind Descent?
Blind Descent is powered by Unreal Engine 5, built with cutting-edge tools and APIs. The game runs exclusively on DirectX 12, so you’ll need a GPU that supports it.
Here are the estimated minimum and recommended specs for the Demo. Keep in mind that not every hardware setup has been tested, so results may vary.
If you’re running with 16GB RAM, we strongly suggest closing heavy background apps (like web browsers) to ensure smoother performance.
Minimum system requirements (low graphics preset): i3-10100 (or similar AMD) 16GB of RAM (DDR4 or higher)
GTX1080ti (or AMD equivalent)
36GB of free space (SSD recommended)
DirectX 12 Windows 11 or latest version of Windows 10 Recommended system requirements (medium-high graphics preset): I5-12400 (AMD 3600) and higher 32GB of RAM RTX3060 12GB (or AMD equivalent) and higher 36GB of free space (SSD) DirectX 12 Windows 11 (latest version)
We’re actively optimizing the Demo build — but depending on your setup, you may still experience some performance drops.
To help us improve, please attach your DXDIAG file when submitting performance feedback (see instructions above).
⚠️ Remember: performance is not final. We’ll keep polishing and optimizing all the way to Early Access to ensure the smoothest experience possible.

💾 Will my progress carry over to the full game?
Please note: Demo saves will not carry over to the full release, as the game’s structure and balance are still evolving. Use this as your chance to experiment, take risks, and explore every corner of the underground without holding back!
What's New in this Playtest
This Demo doesn’t just bring new features — it includes everything from Blind Descent so far, plus major upgrades since the first playtest. Here’s what you can expect to experience underground:
Revamped opening quest flow
Narrative improvements for a stronger story
New Mutation abilities unlocked after completing the First Dungeon
More responsive combat + smarter enemy AI
Unique loot drops for the Queen Silkworm
- Open world design passsmoother traversal & new routes
Fresh explorable areas to discover
FOV slider support
Inventory QoL: faster sorting & easier management Scanner QoL: quicker, more reliable scans
First Dungeon reworked: tighter gameplay & level design
The Blind Descent Demo gives you an early glimpse of what lies beneath Mars’ surface — but keep in mind, the game is still evolving. While fully playable, many systems are growing and changing. For example:
Multiplayer isn’t in yet
Exploration is limited to selected areas
Some enemies haven’t crawled out of the dark yet
The quest system is still expanding
Creatures are still being refined (animations, audio, etc.)
…and much more is in progress.
We’re working hard to expand, polish, and deepen every part of the descent — and your feedback is key to shaping that future.
Thank you for being part of the expedition! We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
Thanks for Playing!
Your support and feedback during the demo is invaluable — you’re not just playing Blind Descent, you’re helping shape it. Every bug report, idea, and thought pushes the game forward, making the underground more alive (and more dangerous).
And this is only the beginning. The descent goes deeper from here.
Stay sharp, — The Blind Descent Team
