Repeated intro
Hello, Everyone! I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who picked up the game so far. Releasing this game as a solo developer was a much larger, and more emotional journey than I expected. So far, although sales are a little low - which is not unexpected, since this is the first game from an 'unknown' indie developer - the feedback has been positive! So it looks like people who give the game a chance actually seem to enjoy it! That means a lot! Thanks!!

Tips
Here's some quick information for people playing the game that might help:
Take a look at the Manual ! When we made this game, we tried to stay true to the early days of video games - keeping in-game story/explanations/tutorials to a minimum. There's lots of information in the manual that is interesting - plus, I put a lot of time into making it ;)
One, important detail that's mentioned in the manual, but is kind of vague in the game: Killing Enemies + Collecting Gold unlocks permenant upgrades when you beat the level. On Easy mode, you just have to get 90% of both kills and gold in a level to get that level's upgrade. These are very useful!!! A complete list of the upgrades are in the manual.
One thing not mentioned in the manual: you should be able to always go backwards through a level! So if you're stuck on a boss, try backtracking to see if you missed an upgrade somewhere in the level.
Use doors to your advantage! Since every door is a check-point, if you find yourself having trouble clearing a room, try taking out a couple of enemies, then running back to the last door to 'save' - so if you die, the enemies you had cleared are still gone!
I sincerely hope you enjoy this game. I've tried to make it fun, interesting, and unique. Sure, it's not 100% perfect, but if you can enjoy it for a couple of hours or so, then I think we both come out as winners. If you like this game, please do me a favor and leave a review!
