I know it’s been several years since my last announcement, but I’m finally back and with exciting news! After two years of work, my new game is coming out next month, entering its Early Access phase.
Shadows of Thornkeep is a passion project: a grid-based dungeon crawler I’ve wanted to make for almost 30 years. I know it’s a niche genre that isn’t exactly in the spotlight these days, but I felt I had to create it, not for trends, but for myself. It reminds me of my childhood, reading gaming magazines about amazing titles like Dungeon Master or Wizardry, while not even having a PC to play them on.
SOT is a reflection of how I imagined and romanticized those classics in my teenage years, blended with the gameplay loops I enjoy and have used across all my games. It’s the same design philosophy behind Blasted Road Terror and Dreadborne Drifters — the kind of approach that keeps a solo developer from going insane while still delivering fun, hobby-driven projects.
The game will release in late October, and I hope everyone who enjoyed BRT and DD will join me once more to experience turn-based dungeon crawling, the endless hunt for better items, and managing a party of lost souls trying to escape Thornkeep Island.
I can’t wait for your feedback and support — it has always meant the world to me and helped shape my games during Early Access.
