On May 14th, Blades of Fire launches on Steam. We know many of you will have questions, so we’ve put together this helpful blog covering frequently asked questions. When will the Steam version of Blades of Fire release? The Steam version of Blades of Fire will be released on May 14th, 2026!
What will be included in the Steam version? The Steam release includes Version 2.0 of the game, featuring major updates and improvements, plus the Adventurer Pack, the Artbook, and the award-winning original soundtrack by Óscar Araujo.
How much will the Steam version cost? More info coming soon!
Is the Steam version different to the other platforms? The only difference is that the Steam version also includes the Adventurer Pack, the Artbook, and the award-winning original soundtrack by Óscar Araujo.
The base game itself is identical across all platforms.
Do I have to pay for the Version 2.0 content? No, the Version 2.0 content will be a free update across all platforms.
When will the Version 2.0 content be available? On May 14th, across all platforms.
What is included in the Version 2.0 update? NEW CONTENT • New Game Plus • New Challenge Level: Titanium • New Weapon Parts & Skins (only available in New Game Plus) • Elements Transmutation (which allows players to change material types) • Photo Mode • Boss Revival Mode (a new game mode where you can replay boss fights and earn rewards) • Adso’s Spells on weapons for a deeper combat (rewards tied to Boss Revival Mode, introducing spells that enhance weapon abilities with special effects) • Now you can pet the Ox in Blades of Fire!
IMPROVEMENTS • Expanded death and mutilation variations • Improved animation transitions • NVIDIA DLSS 4 implementation
OTHER • Full key remapping for keyboard and mouse control • New achievements • Steam Deck Support
