addedOnce again, thank you everyone for playing our game. Due to provided feedback and internal testing we have come with another patch. For now the patches will be slowing down mostly as a. we haven't received really many more issues that we have been able to locate (a couple brought up but non reproducible with details provided) and b. coming into this new year we have been busy with our personal lives and jobs.
removedVisualRemoved floating aspect of objects in bathtub (Won't include specifics for spoiler) this was as the container wasn't working correctly so the longer you played the less reliable the positioning was which could lead to the objects floating away???? Rather annoying, now they are static but rotate around which was the best fix
addedVisualRebaked lighting with new changes to provide updated shadows (minor improvement)
removedGameplayMoved the lantern, we had received conflicting feedback for the lantern placement for a long time both pre and post release. Some found it fine and easy to find whereas, other struggled and even stopped playing due to the case. Due to said feedback we felt it was due for some adjustments. We have moved it into the house and near the tutorial prompt which also got removed. This should make it easier to find and you shouldn't get stuck in a dark house without a light which will inhibit your ability to play. This should also reduce the chance players try to grab the wrong lantern.
removedGameplayWe decided to remove the ability to die, at least for now unless we make some good improvements or get contrary feedback (feel free to let us know if you think this is better or worse). We found players didn't really understand that they could die, it would happen mid game which kinda means you have to restart due to how saving works, and lastly it didn't really provide a positive affect on the experience. There were also a couple bugs that revolved around it which ultimately ruined some players experiences. Due to this being a side feature and has no impact on the ability to both play and complete the game we have removed it for now, it may be reintroduced later.
addedChristmas UpdateWith this patch we are removing the Christmas patch being a full week since the new year (for us devs anyway). However we have saved the build on a separate branch which we may or may not make public at a later stage for those who wish. The one issue is it does not contain these nor future patches as retaining 2 different branches would be too difficult due to how they were made. We will see, let us know if you still want it accessible!
