BL00D.exe changes
Welcome to the MAJOR UPDATE promised so long ago! Thank you all for your patience! We here at IMIGE have been working so hard to get y'all this update! We're excited for you to play and to hear your feedback. Let's go over all the big content added in with this update and what you can expect to see that is different!
New Campaign Level (Cryol Cryolabs)
Welcome to Cryol Cryolabs; the first true mission of the campaign.
Descend into the industrial underbelly where discarded Synths are stripped, shattered, and melted down into raw material. This is where machines go to die… and where you begin. Fight your way upward through grinding assembly lines and molten reclamation pits before breaching the frost-choked upper laboratories.
At the center of this frozen nightmare stands Dr. Verglais; cryogenics visionary, bio-enhancement extremist, and architect of the coldest hell in Daydream. His experiments have transformed the facility into a labyrinth of ice, steel, and suffering.
Navigate four intense combat arenas. Master vertical traversal and environmental parkour. Uncover hidden secrets buried beneath frost and flame.
Then survive the escape.
Cryol Cryolabs culminates in BL00D.exe’s first full-scale Boss Fight. A brutal showdown against the monster behind the ice.
Overhauled Visuals (Cyberspace Tutorial)
We’ve had our new level artist revisit the Cyberspace Tutorial and completely rework the visual presentation.
The goal was simple: elevate the atmosphere, sharpen the identity of cyberspace, and make the introduction feel worthy of what BL00D.exe becomes later in the campaign. Lighting, color contrast, environmental depth, and visual clarity have all been refined to create a more immersive and visually striking experience.
We’re incredibly happy with how it turned out. The space now feels more alive, more digital, and more intentional.
We’d love to hear what you think. Jump in, take a look, and let us know how the updated visuals feel.
Subsistence Update
Subsistence Mode wasn’t where we wanted it to be in the previous demo.
We put it together quickly; and it showed. The maps lacked depth, the flow wasn’t proper, and the experience didn’t reflect the standard we’re building BL00D.exe around.
That changes now.
Subsistence has been completely overhauled with four redesigned maps:
Three pulled directly from campaign combat arenas, refined for wave survival. (Club Nova Dance Floor, Cryolab Scrap Melter Room, and Cryolab Biolab Room)
One brand-new map, built from the ground up specifically for Subsistence Mode. (HARMONEY Prismatic Blackspine)
We’ve also introduced:
New enemy types
Improved AI behavior
A brand-new weapon: the Benzz99 Dual-Wield SMGs. They've been designed for players who prefer overwhelming fire rate and relentless aggression.
The pacing is tighter. The arenas are closer to what we wish to deliver. The pressure escalates properly.
Subsistence Mode is now faster, harder, and far more replayable.
We can’t wait to see who pushes the farthest. Who survives the longest. Who reaches the highest wave.
Good luck.
Major Bug Fixes and QoL Changes
The first iteration of the demo had its fair share of issues.
There were bugs. Missing quality-of-life features. Rough edges that pulled players out of the experience. We pushed the first demo out too fast, and it showed.
With this update, we’ve made stability and polish a top priority.
We’ve worked to fix known bugs and improve overall performance, while also implementing key quality-of-life features, including:
The ability to skip cutscenes
Proper save file statuses
Added sound effects and music
General UI and gameplay refinements
Our focus has been simple: deliver a smoother, more immersive experience from start to finish.
That said, development is ongoing, and your feedback is crucial. If you encounter any bugs or areas that don’t feel right, please report them using the in-game reporting tool. Every report helps us refine the final game.
Customization Added
One of the most requested features from the community has finally arrived: weapon customization.
You can now access a new Customization Menu directly from the main menu, where you’re able to equip cosmetic skins for your weapons and tailor your loadout to your style.
The full game will feature significantly more weapons and a much wider variety of skins to unlock and experiment with. For the demo, we’ve included a small preview of what’s coming.
This update is about giving players more identity in combat. Your build. Your weapons. Your look.
Jump in, experiment with the new cosmetics, and let us know which setups you’re rocking and what skins you'd like to see in the final game.
Final Thoughts
We’re incredibly grateful to finally get this demo update into your hands.
BL00D.exe has fought its way through what can only be described as development hell. There were moments where progress felt slow, uncertain, even overwhelming; which makes hitting this milestone that much more meaningful. Seeing this version of the demo live is both relieving and motivating for our entire team.
We’re pushing hard toward a full release target of Q4 2026. That said, we want to be transparent. We can’t make any promises just yet. Our priority is delivering the game at the level of quality it deserves.
This will be the last major demo update. We truly believe this version represents the perfect "vertical slice" of the BL00D.exe experience: combat, atmosphere, customization, Subsistence mode, and polish all working together to show what the full game aims to be.
Moving forward, you can expect:
Small bug fix patches (as issues are found)
One or two additional quality-of-life improvements
If you’d like to see more beyond what’s in the demo, including behind-the-scenes content, early reveals, and potential private playtests, we’d love to have you join us on the IMIGE Community Discord Server, (https://discord.com/invite/sEBkgKN4hb)
We’re also aiming to release the official full-game trailer in Summer 2026.
From all of us: thank you. Your support, feedback, and patience mean more than we can put into words.
Enjoy the demo.
