On Localization

Good afternoon, everyone!

Today I'd like to share some thoughts on localization — and also touch on the release timeline.

Last month, after submitting the game for platform review, we received a notice that the game was not supporting the languages listed on its store page. So we took a closer look at what might have been missing.

This game has very little text — outside of the shop interface labels like "Purchased" and "None," it's essentially just the menu and the theme names.

That's when it struck us: players in Asian markets often seem quite comfortable with English UI elements. Words like START and RESET feel natural — but rendering them as 「開始」and 「リセット」 can sometimes feel... a little stiff?

Then there are the theme names. The Last Leaf and Scenic Tour — translating these into local languages feels like it comes down to personal taste.
