Meet Our Characters - Louise and Mitch

Hello Everyone!

To ease the time spent waiting for the premiere of the game in May, we’d love to shed some light onto our characters - a colorful menagerie of personalities big and small that Louise and Mitch encounter on their life changing voyage through the USA in the 1960s.

From people who Louise used to consider friends, to sworn enemies and finally tentative new relationships - we hope you are eager to learn more with every new post which we plan to post once a week.

First, we'd like to start with our dynamic duo itself - learn more about Louise and Mitch!

Louise

A strong-willed, iron-back woman that despite her young age, has already experience beyond that of a typical 20-something. Growing up in the rural outskirts of California, with her family devoted to the Bible and kept under the iron-fist grip of her veteran immigrant grandfather, Louise never felt much at home, having no real support from her immediate kin during the most painful moments of her life. In spite of being brought up to rather stay meek and not dispute the unfairness of the world, she chose to run away from home as soon as it was possible, swearing to herself never to return. With a bleak outlook on life and a lifestyle of a vagabond chosen, she embarks to make a living for herself and for a while, life takes on more positive turns and rhythm. Now, a few years later and working as a waitress, Louise looks after her only son, Mitch, and tries her best to show him what life is all about and, whenever possible – make it better than what her own parents were able to offer her at his age. She is independent, resourceful and not afraid either to burn bridges or rekindle relationships written off for good, if it might help Mitch. It is up to you to choose what Louise's experiences mean in the long run – and what Mitch learns from his mother during the short month spent together.

Mitch

A cheerful and curious schoolboy who wants nothing more than to help his mum be happy, not questioning much what example is set before him. Despite his young age, he finds it easy to connect the dots between quite abstract things, and Louise finds it hard to shield him from the harshest truths of the world around them. Despite not knowing his father, Mitch is optimistic about his life and what the future might bring. The month spent together with his mother is one of the rare occasions when the two get to know each other better than ever before and find the resilience to build him as a child for a future unknown to them both.
