Repeated intro
Hello again! About another week has passed and a lot more work has been done. Recently I've been super motivated to add more things to the game, and a lot of additions and fixes have been made.
What changed
- Gameplay
- Performance
- UI and audio
Here's everything that's new:
The tutorial has been completely redone in order to make it a more interactive and more enjoyable experience, and also in order to give the game a bit of personality.
Game over messages now display each time you lose for extra character.
Lots of code optimizations have been made, which increases the amount of customization options I have when it comes to level creation.
There are now a whopping 4 LEVELS that have been implemented into the game, with more to come.
All of the sound effects in the game have been completely redone.
A lot of the art has been looked over and polished.
Ahhh... to heck with it, here's some screenshots of some of the new stuff:
As for plans over the next week or two, here's what I have in mind:
More levels!
Implementing background music for the menus and levels.
Potentially getting new screenshots for the Steam page, as well as potentially beginning work on a trailer.
A bunch of small tweaks
We're getting close to that sweet, sweet early access release, and I am very excited. Still shooting for end of May or early June (musical reference?), but like I said, as much as I would like the early access to be released then, there's no guarantee it will be. Only time will tell.
That's it for now, I hope everyone is well and staying safe! I'll see you all soon!
