addedHello beavers, hoomans and otter animals, We wanted to give you an update on our progress, plans for the future and the current state of the game and team working on it. As you might have noticed things have slowed down over the past few weeks and we want to be as open as possible about the reasons why. Most of you know Beavers be Dammed started out as a school project which, as all good things tend to do, has come to an end. This means all six of us have moved on from working 40 hours a week (and most weeks even more) on the game to working towards our graduation. This means we have to find a new workflow that allows us to work on distance from each other while still making progress and keeping each other up to date. So far we noticed this is harder than we though it would be. The next update will include an options menu, key binding and the option to press the button to hold the log once instead of having to hold it (this will will help players currently having problems with key ghosting while playing on a keyboard). The next update will also fix some known bugs and feature other small improvements. After this we are going to work on beaver customization and redo the level progression. We are currently investigating a system in which successfully completing a level will unlock the next and stars are used to unlock hats and possibly other fun things for your beavers. In the meantime we will also be working on new levels and obstacles as well as looking into the most requested feature so far: online multiplayer. Last but not least we want thank all of you guys for playing our game and sharing it with your friends. We do our best to make Beavers be Dammed the best game we possibly can and your support and feedback has been extremely valuable. So don’t hesitate to send us a message if you have an idea or feedback. Thank you for your understanding and we promise we will do our best to keep these long, serious posts without puns to a minimum. Woodbye! The Beavers be Dammed Team
