removedOne of the reasons this is possible is that BeatShot will no longer rely on an external database to store scores and performance statistics. Currently, scores are stored in an external database and performance statistics are displayed through a website and an in-game web browser.
removedUpon full release, performance statistics will be integrated directly into the game and will no longer rely on an external database. This should provide a smoother, more reliable experience, and the full game experience will also be playable offline.
removedBecause of this transition, the current external database will be retired upon full release. As a result, existing BeatShot accounts will no longer be accessible, and scores currently stored on the website will no longer be viewable there. However, the same scores stored in the database should also be saved in your local save game file and will still be accessible.
removedThank you to everyone who has purchased BeatShot during Early Access. Your support helped cover the ongoing costs of maintaining BeatShot and made continued development possible. With those external infrastructure costs no longer necessary, I want to make the game as accessible as possible.

Full release is currently targeted for July/August 2026.
Thanks,
Mark
