Hello friends (and enemies ːccskullː )! I'm back with a bunch of news about the Bear Game™. We've been hard at work on things both in and out of the game for the past few months that I wanted to share. So here goes!

A lot of our time in the past few months has been occupied with addressing a lot of the technical debt we accrued while developing the game. As we all know, every video game is secretly three strands of spaghetti duct taped together. We've been rewriting a lot of the code in order to smooth out some of the performance, but more importantly, to allow us to expand on the game further.
addedROADMAP UPDATEThis Summer / Fall 🌞 🎮 A Controller and UI/UX Patch will be coming soon to the game. 🌎 We’ll be adding Brazilian Portuguese to our list of supported languages. 🤐 We’re also working to bring Bear and Breakfast to a new platform.

Arguably the most important piece of news, icymi is that we have a HANK PLUSH!! We're working with Makeship which sort of works like a kickstarter for plushies, and there's just over 10 more days to nab a Hank Plush for yourself!

VINYL SOUNDTRACK

We've also launched a couple of physical editions of the game, and alongside them the Official B&B Soundtrack on Viny l!

The soundtrack is composed by Andrew Landry and the cover art was made in actual plasticine by the amazing cobcris.

DIGITAL SOUNDTRACK

If you're not a vinyl votary, we've also released the soundtrack digitally to almost everywhere you listen to music on, including on Spotify, Bandcamp as well as a Youtube video for all your study needs

With that in mind, I'm happy to report that we’ve got two major beats coming this year:

This Summer / Fall 🌞 🎮 A Controller and UI/UX Patch will be coming soon to the game. 🌎 We’ll be adding Brazilian Portuguese to our list of supported languages. 🤐 We’re also working to bring Bear and Breakfast to a new platform.

Later This Year ⛄ A “Big Content Update” is in development and slated to come out in 2023!! Hank goes in search of a certain someone! Jumping on a boat with Will and Annie, they all take a trip to far away lands!

  • It expands on the current game’s story and world.

  • It will feature New Areas, New Hotels, New Furniture and New Characters.

  • It will also further the stories of some existing characters.

  • The update will also bring a brand new Management-Focused Game Mode!!

  • It will be available for free later this year.

To round things out, as you may all know, Steam Summer Sale has come and almost gone! Bear and Breakfast is currently at the biggest discount ever of 30% off so this is a good a time as any to dip your toes in!
