Hello, Horde!
The time has come… the HORDE REBORN update is AVAILABLE NOW!
The past few months have been intense for us. We’ve been working incredibly hard to turn Be My Horde into the “polished” game we always wanted it to be. Your feedback has played a huge role in that journey, so we want to thank everyone who joined our latest playtest and everyone who has supported us in any way over the last year and a half. It has been, and still is, a fantastic adventure.
We know this update took time. We had to learn a lot (sometimes the hard way), but our next major update is finally here. So, before you jump back in and spend more time with Moriana, let’s take a look at what Horde Reborn brings to Be My Horde.
MORE CHALLENGE, MORE FUN
From now on, each world in Be My Horde - both Kingdom and Hell - has FIVE levels, each one tougher than the last. Not only does this add a fresh layer of challenge for all aspiring necromancers, but it also fixes the difficulty curve, letting players gradually hone their skills instead of running into sudden difficulty spikes.
These levels aren’t simple copy-paste jobs with beefier stats. We reworked all of them with new wave compositions, early appearances of stronger enemies at higher difficulties, and above all, made them shorter by starting a boss fight always at the 20-minute mark. Combined with the changes we present further in this announcement, runs should now feel far more dynamic and far less dull.
And yes, you can now pick any unlocked level from our beautiful, animated level selector. ;)
THE POWER OF PERKS
One of the biggest changes in Horde Reborn is a complete overhaul of the perks system. You told us that many of the abilities weren’t impactful enough. We agree. So we revamped a ton of them, making perks more interesting both visually and mechanically, creating better synergies, and introducing more ways to make your horde even stronger during the run. You’ll also level up much more frequently, which really amps up the pace of each run.
BE MY UNSTOPPABLE HORDE
Back in the Welcome to Hell update, we added a Talent Tree for that new area with 25 talents. Now, we revamped and improved this idea by not only introducing 24 new ones to it, but also creating a whole new Talent Tree for the Kingdom with 49 more talents.
Previously, the Hell Talent Tree relied on souls that could only be gathered there. Now? One soul type. One system. Much simpler.
We also moved some lacklustre perks into the talent system to further increase the impact of perks across the board.
“HELLO, MY MINION”
We added EIGHT new dialogues with Moriana to the game. When conquering a new level, you will unlock one new dialogue. They will reveal more of her past and help you get to know our charmingly cruel necromancess a little better. So, who’s up for more time with Moriana?
BEAUTY OF THE DETAILS
Horde Reborn comes packed with visual upgrades - above all, we overhauled the HUD. We introduced a new HP bar that appears only when you’re wounded, buff icons showing you your horde’s status, we made the experience bar far more apparent, and we also added the Army Power indicator.
