Battle Train changes
Hi all!
We’re super excited to tell you all about the giant mega update coming to Battle Train on September 4th. It’s basically two updates in one, both with substantial new stuff, along with a couple fixes to some bugs reported by the community (thank you!)
First, we’ve got ENDLESS MODE!!!
Endless Mode is just what it sounds like
as long as you survive, you can keep crushing your enemies.
Here’s what you’ll be seeing in game
A new submenu for the “play” button, to keep the main menu nice and uncluttered
The Endless Overworld, balanced to make opponents more difficult as you hit each subsequent map
Additional map boards for minigames, to keep things from getting repetitive for those super long survival runs
An Endless Mode Leaderboard, because honestly, it’s all about bragging rights, isn’t it?
As for bug fixes, we’ve addressed the following:
Your display name should now fit on the leaderboard
Each train part slot should now only have ONE part assigned to it for the daily run
Your incredibly long, high damage locomotives should be able to finish hitting your target without timing out now, which was causing catastrophic mayhem (to turn progression, as well as to the enemy outpost).
Run durations should now properly reset, which was previously leading to a series of issues.
Cards should show consistently as the correct type
And some translation corrections
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, we are also releasing our first DLC, Revenge of the Puffin! Do you love the Battle Train story? Do you want… more? How about more opponents, more puzzles, and more maps? Well, friend, we have got you covered! Revenge of the Puffin includes:
A new chapter of the Battle Train story
A new custom Overworld, where player progression is saved, and players can take multiple runs at challenging bosses or puzzle levels.
A new champion and new grunts
New cards, trains, stickers, and hats!
New custom maps, designed to provoke your problem solving skills
New custom Explodathon puzzles
A new Snowy Environment
Frankly, we cannot wait to see how you all like it. We think it’s pretty darn neat.
Steam post imageBattle Train Endless Mode Update and Revenge of the Puffin DLC will be available on Steam on September 4th, and Switch on September 5th.
