The Types

There are two primary types of AA guns, each with unique characteristics:

  • Machinegun AA Guns: These are your rapid-firing, lead-spitting defenses. Perfect for sustained fire, they’re ideal for taking down agile fighters and dive bombers.

  • Explosive Flak Guns: These pack a punch with their area-of-effect damage. Explosive flak is perfect for targeting larger planes like bombers or creating chaos in tightly packed airspace.

And two types of placement:

  • Ground-based: Positioned strategically on dioramas or directly on terrain, these guns provide essential cover for ground-based objectives.

  • Maritime-based: Mounted on ships and carriers, these bring the heat to aerial threats over water.

Here’s where things get really exciting: AA guns can be dropped into battle by cargo planes!
