The Agent character can now be changed between levels instead of requiring a separate play-through. Once you unlock a new hero you can play them the very next level.
The game’s difficulty setting can be changed at any time – between or during levels.
Finishing the game formerly scrubbed the current saved game after the final boss was defeated. Saves now persist so you can go back for unlockable characters you may have missed.
Added an option to start a new saved game with gear and money zeroed out. These will still exist in previously saved games.
Several difficulty spikes have been smoothed out, notably the jungle and temple levels in the fifth world.
Cash accrues more quickly in the game’s later levels, making it possible to buy more of the advanced weapons for those final big battles.
Fixed a bug where defeating a boss didn’t give players cash.
Sundry bug fixes and AI tweaks.
