Happy New Year to Everyone

From all of us at Banana, we wish you all the best for the year ahead. To kick things off properly, on January 6th we’re launching our New Year Event, featuring a New Year drop running for a full week, I know, a bit late but we're all catching a break here To make up for some holiday timing chaos, we’re also introducing a delayed Christmas Well of the Past, and Monkey returning alongside a special Well-exclusive drop, plus an extra drop running alongside normal drops until the end of the first week of 2026. Before we move forward, let’s take a moment to look back at what this year actually looked like for Banana January

  • We kicked off the year with a Chinese New Year event, featuring Papercutnana and Golden Papercutnana. This brought a clean, festive start and set the tone for themed drops moving forward.

February

  • We finally got to show off our love outside of the game and banana obsession with the release of Trading Cards, Badges, Emotes, and Profile Backgrounds.

  • Sorry Valentines

March

  • The first teasers for the Well of the Past appeared.

  • Behind the scenes, we pushed an internal stats update and started openly talking about a visual upgrade direction for the game.

April A massive month.

  • Birthday Event with brand-new gameplay via Builders and CPS

  • Full introduction of the Well of the Past and the Sage Monkey

  • Achievements were added

  • UI, logo, and visual identity received a full revamp

  • New music was introduced

  • This month marked a real shift from “clicker” toward something deeper.

May

  • The Animations Update landed, giving the game more life, polish, and personality.

June

  • We launched the Blog, sharing community updates and team insights.

  • Capsules became purchasable through the store.

  • A Feature Board was introduced, letting the community vote directly on future plans and priorities.

July

  • We started talking openly about:

  • Login streaks and rewards

  • A new capsule teased

  • Early code teasers

  • And for the first time, the fail percentage on inventory exchanges

August

  • A brand-new Elemental-themed capsule joined the lineup.

October to December Things got interesting.

  • We launched the Halloween Event, which transitioned into what became our longest-running event to date:

Banana Carving Contest 2025: Nightmare Before Christmas Edition

  • Alongside this, the fail percentage on trade-ups was fully added to the game.

December

  • The Carving Event continued

  • The Christmas Event went live

  • Advent Calendars ran both in-game and on Discord, closing out the year with daily surprises and community participation

  • We also saw the occasional article pop up here and there. Nothing huge, but always appreciated.

Special Thanks to: Bolt for the music Minerva, Deko, and AdolfoSolar for the art Everyone who participated in the Carving Event Everyone who joined in on the Advent Calendar events And of course, thank you to the players and community members who stuck with Banana through updates, experiments, changes, and long-term plans. As we move into the new year, we’re actively looking forward to:

  • The Prestige System

  • Global Quests

  • Leaderboards

  • Minigames with rewards and bragging rights

  • More reasons to actually do things with your bananas
