Bam Bam Boom changes
I am the lead dev and designer at Oh Baby Games. As many of you know, Bam Bam Boom was originally built by a different developer and designer.
To keep it short, we have had a change of hands and I’ve spent the last few weeks digging into and understanding their code. I want you to know that we are fully committed to supporting our games. While BBB was one I didn't initially have a firm grasp on, I finally feel confident with it.
For me, Oh Baby Games isn't just about shipping products—it’s about delivering quality that we can all be proud of, both as players and as a team.
Today, we are pushing a Bam Ball update. I've been working on this using feedback from one of our players, Aizul (shout out!).
Here is what’s changing:
- Wall Cling fixedThis has been resolved and added back into the game.
Custom Lobby Flow: You will now return to the lobby with the same players after a match, instead of needing to remake it.
Bam Ball Map: You can now find it as a unique map (the 6th map) in the bottom right. It doesn't have its own dedicated flow yet, but if you love it, I can add one. (Please note this takes time, as I am balancing multiple games!)
- Monetization RemovedAll purchasable packages have been removed—there is no longer anything to buy. If you held keys, they have been converted to boxes at a 1:1 ratio. This means all box items are now unobtainable, permanently capping their supply.
Server Support: Ongoing server support remains active, and rollback netcode is still fully present.
- OBK Skin CompatibilityOBK skins maintain their cross-compatibility. Because of the monetization changes, any skins originating from boxes are now officially fixed-supply.
I am here, listening, and iterating.
Inspire. Empire.
Much love,
Pas
