Today we’d like to share with you the latest Level 1 design for Backrooms: The Lost (This is the Fandom-version prototype.)

All screenshots below are captured from in-game footage—

LEVEL 1: The Open Plaza

Currently, the open plaza is about 50% complete, and we’re still refining details.

The design is based on the Backrooms Fandom Level 1 setting.

LEVEL 1: The Penrose Infinite Staircase

This is one of our original creative twists in Backrooms: The Lost.

Is it going up, or going down? Up or down?

Can you tell me?

LEVEL 1: The Decayed Stairwell

In addition to referencing the Fandom version,

we aimed for the raw, unfinished look of a concrete shell.

For the lighting and atmosphere, we drew inspiration from classic Thai horror films.

Can you guess which one?

LEVEL 1: The Bottomless Parking Lot

Experienced players will notice this immediately—

it’s a classic example of liminal space design,

a hallmark of the Backrooms aesthetic.

LEVEL 1: The Warehouse Parking Area

As a typical element of Level 1,

we built it with concrete floors + incandescent lamps + a cold, empty vibe.

Do you like it?
