Backrooms Cleanup Crew changes
Thank you all for a delightful first day of launch! We've got a handful of quick adjustments to drop here based on feedback. Thank you all for leaving comments both here on Steam and on our Discord - these help us make sure we're focusing on the right things first.
A few things we're tackling in this patch: Level 08 fight pacing, suit customization unlocks for completing levels, decreased difficulty of getting Gold times, more powerful Sigil Buff, and better Chapter 2 discovery.
Gameplay
If every player dies during the Incursion phase of Level 08 - Entity, players will still respawn to play out the Fight phase instead of the Fight phase being skipped entirely
Unlocks
The colors previously rewarded for Golding Normal difficulty levels are now awarded for completing the level on any difficulty (Players will be retroactively awarded these colors upon startup)
A new set of 10 colors has been added for Golding Normal difficulty levels (Players will be retroactively awarded these colors upon startup)
Tuning
Gold Rank times have been increased by 1-2 minutes depending on the level
Silver Rank times have been made exactly twice the duration of Star Employee times
The multiplier on level completion times for multiplayer has been increased, meaning it will be slightly easier to get all ranks when playing with 2, 3 or 4 players
The increase in washing power from the Sigil Power buff has been increased
UI
Changed the lobby level times UI to show level completion times for Chapter 2 levels without requiring using a drop down
Level select now defaults to the most recently unlocked level
