背包地牢: Backpack Dungeon changes
It has been almost two weeks since Backpack Dungeon officially launched. First of all, thank you so much for all your support!
Since release, we have been closely reading your comments, feedback, and suggestions. Seeing players enjoy the game, share their thoughts, and post their backpack builds has been a huge encouragement for us.
Today, we are here to deliver on one of our previous update plans:
Steam Workshop support for Backpack Dungeon has been completed and is now available in the game!
We hope the Workshop will allow more players to take part in expanding the content of Backpack Dungeon, bringing more fun, freedom, and unexpected ideas to the game. We welcome everyone to create and try out different mods, and we hope this little backpack dungeon can gain even more possibilities through your creativity.
Workshop Features Currently Supported
The current Workshop support includes:
Custom Background Music Players can replace the game’s background music and battle music, giving the dungeon adventure a different atmosphere.
Removing Certain Built-in Items Players can adjust the item pool by removing certain built-in items, allowing for more special challenges or customized build environments.
Custom Items Custom item creation is supported. In the current version, this will first be limited to the existing ability system to ensure stability. We will continue expanding it based on actual development progress.
Custom Characters Players can create entirely new characters, including basic character settings and build directions, bringing more gameplay routes to the game.
Custom Skins and Starting Equipment Players can customize character appearances, as well as starting equipment configurations.
We are really looking forward to seeing all the interesting mods created by the community. There may be new characters, new build styles, new challenges, or even backpack strategies we never expected.
About Future Updates
The Workshop is only a new beginning.
Going forward, we will continue to follow community feedback, fix issues, improve the experience, and keep optimizing the game based on your suggestions.
If you encounter any problems while using the Workshop, or if you have ideas for future features, feel free to let us know in the comments. We will continue reading your feedback and do our best to make Backpack Dungeon better.
A Quick Recommendation for a Friend’s New Game
Also, we would like to take this chance to recommend a friend’s game.
A pixel-style dungeon roguelike game made by a friend, Tap Dungeon, is expected to launch in August.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4676750/_/
This is a pixel-style otherworldly dungeon roguelike adventure game. Players can choose from classes such as Swordsman, Assassin, and Mage, enter randomly generated card mazes, fight goblins, orcs, and the undead, collect artifacts, and challenge hidden bosses.
Death is only a new beginning. Countless builds are waiting for you to conquer, as you eventually become the hero who saves the kingdom.
If you enjoy dungeons, roguelikes, and pixel-style adventures, you may also want to check out Tap Dungeon.
Lastly
Once again, thank you all for your support for Backpack Dungeon.
We hope the Workshop will bring more surprises and vitality to Backpack Dungeon, allowing everyone to discover even more fun builds and playstyles in the dungeon.
Pack your backpack and continue deeper into the dungeon. See you in the dungeon!
